Come enjoy food, drinks, and company!

Come out to show your support for community wikis at Davis Wiki Night, hosted by Sophia's Thai Kitchen. The event is today, Wednesday, September 1st, from 5pm until close. Hang out with fellow wikizens and help our pledge drive just by eating and drinking. Sophia's will donate a portion of all proceeds from both the restaurant and the bar to the Wiki. There will be wiki stickers and possibly a raffle for Sophia's gift certificates.

Also, stay tuned for the Wiki's silent auction at Rominger West Winery on Thursday, September 9th from 4-7pm!

2010-6-26 We're in the New York Times today!

Some folks will be tabling at the Farmers Market today to spread the wiki cause and ask for pledges for our fundraiser drive. There will be wiki stickers! Come out and join us!

2010-6-24 The Davis Wiki was recently featured in articles at Nieman Journalism Lab at Harvard, The Sacramento Bee, The Modesto Bee, PoynterOnline, Gawker, boingboing, and reddit. Additionally, Local Wiki was featured on the New York Times Media Decoder blog, The Bay Citizen, and other news sites.

2010-04-01 Rumors of the demise of the wiki were due to the day (April 1st). A new Back Page replaced the Front Page and in a stated effort to "save power" and to "save pixels" the site slowly faded to black over the day, with shrinking text.
