Davis has two Occupy movements:

Occupy Davis in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement that is taking place all over the United States and world, including Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, and L.A. Round-the-clock occupation of Central Park began Saturday, October 15 at 10:30 AM during the Farmers' Market. The movement continued to grow as more tents spring up in the northwestern corner of the park. General Assemblies took place Wednesdays 6 pm and Saturdays 10:30 am. Gatherings were every evening at 6 pm and there were dinners every night too.

Occupy UC Davis began with a Strike Rally, on Tuesday, Nov. 15, on the UCD Quad, in solidarity with Occupy Cal’s Call for a Strike and Day of Action when students, faculty, and community members marched to Mrak Hall. There was another rally Thursday Nov. 17 at noon, followed by a General Assembly, during which consensus was reached to start an encampment on the Quad. Protesters stayed the night without a dispersal order by police; however, the next afternoon Chancellor Linda Katehi ordered the UCD Police to enforce the removal of the tents. Several dozen cops in riot gear appeared at the scene. Peaceful protesters were doused with pepper spray. Here are more details on the pepper spraying and subsequent events.
