ASUCD Prizes are annual scholarships that ASUCD dispenses to about 22 undergraduate students in amounts of $1,000, $500 and $250. Award winners are selected and monies are dispersed through the Office of the ASUCD Vice President. ASUCD Prizes are now funded by an endowment, so they no longer need to be funded out of the ASUCD Budget (i.e. student fees).
In a bygone era of ASUCD History it typically served as a LEAD Retirement Fund, or Focus Retirement Fund, depending on which of the now defunct slates was in power. These prizes were not given out during the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years, but have returned for the 2011-2012 school year.
