They united in fall 2003, creating the cover band Shocker. However, between multiple bassists quiting, having no practice location, and not knowing how to play their instruments, this band quickly fell apart, but not before sparking a fire of desire for classic rock in the Davis community, as well as the in the larger world. No longer able to ignore the cries of adoring fans for the return of Shocker, the original core crew reunited to create AfterShocker!, bringing the sock-rocking awesomeness of their music to the next level with new originals.

Their first original, Ballad of the Beast, tells a tale of a lost young man who having lost his lover, goes on an endless quest to avenge those who had taken from him that which he held most dear. Dylho's looping guitar riffs and Deuce's tear-evoking saxophone playing combine to create the perfect blend to back up Cooley's haunting voice in this story of twisted emotions and conflicting feelings.

Their next masterpeice, Born to Rock, portrays the bands motto "I was born into this world to rock/ and until I die, the rock will never stop." AfterShocker!'s goal isn't to become rich or famous as world-class rockers, but to play exciting music, and to bring fans into the excitement of great music.

Since the writing of Born to Rock, AfterShocker has continued to write new originals varying from Day Man Tamed the Knife, featuring Ralph's tribal drumming to the light-hearted Girlfriend Blues, which demonstrates Megan's prowess as a bassist.

For booking, please email Josh Rau at joshrau@hotmail.com
 or Dylan Haas at dmhaas@ucdavis.edu.
AfterShocker! will gladly play at your next party or bbq in your backyard.
