The Asian American Film Festival is a two-week festival of films involving Asian Americans and Asian American issues, held annually in May. The Film Festival was started in 2003 to showcase Asian and Asian American media. It aims to break stereotypes and to provide an alternative view of Asians and Asian Americans not generally seen in the American mainstream. Admission is free and open to the public. In addition to playing full-length films, the 2012 event will additionally play shorts and have keynote speakers from some of the films.
The 2012 AAA Film Festival will be held from May 8th to May 17th. All screenings start at 7PM. Please visit our website listed above, and our facebook page:
