The Asian American Film Festival is a two-week festival of films involving Asian Americans and Asian American issues, held annually in May. The Film Festival was started in 2003 to showcase Asian and Asian American media. It aims to break stereotypes and to provide an alternative view of Asians and Asian Americans not generally seen in the American mainstream. Admission is free, although a ticket is recommended for ensured seating (tickets can be picked up the MU Info Desk). It is held in 194 Chem.
The 2011 AAA Film Festival will be held from May 4th to May 13th, with movies showing on Wednesdays (8:00 PM), Thursdays (8:00 PM), and Fridays (8:00PM).
