Celebrate Davis is an annual free community-wide festival held by the Davis Chamber of Commerce. It is the city's version of a festival. Visit community organization booths, buy dinner, vote in the Battle of the Davis Bands, enter to win a $1,000 shopping spree, and watch fireworks at 9PM. They also solicit for volunteers. Parking near Celebrate Davis is very hard to find. It is definitely an event to bike to.

Does anyone have the capability to have a laptop on-line there in the park?

I remember reading in the paper {two years ago} that a lot of dog owners felt they were not properly warned about the fireworks. Dogs got scared, people got upset. So remember, dog owners, there will be fireworks - Janelle

2006-05-18 21:09:00 i totally didn't know anything about this till i heard the fireworks from temescal. Also in answer to the on-line question. I tried this on 4th of july wire a pcmia wireless card and got no signal from the Wood playground. —CarlosBarahona
