With that said i would like to invite people to understand the reasons for my brash actions.I have been on CFC for the last 2 years of my 4 years at UCD. Like all the other board members , I have deeply and passionately cared for its success , missing classes, rescheduling midterms and review sessions. Sometimes , even giving my weekends. ANd in those last two years i have come to realize how hard it is to get the student body to have a positive image of us. We give student clubs about $80,000 a year with a maximum of $2000 per club organization. CFC is an opportunity for the student to get some part of the money they are giving to Ucdavis as fees back. We are the "good guys" , if anyone has any event they have to hold and they meet the criteria set by cfc then we have no reason not to fund your group. We spend a lot of time publicizing the CFC application intake dates and our manager, Mariya Deryugina has many office hours, so she can look over people's applications and help them tailor them so their chances of getting funding are very high. As, you can see we all do a lot to make our image better in the eyes of the student body and yet three small comments from people on davis wiki can have a very negative impact on the potential applicants who were considering applying for cfc funding. Now, maybe we are bureaucratic and as specified by Paul Harms, we need to be since we have many guidelines to follow and make sure people do not misuse the money given to them. But that beaurocracy does not mean that the board members cannot help you to get around it.We WANT people to put on more events and we WANT to give all the money we have back to the UC DAVIS STUDENT BODY. and yes ASUCD does have a role in the selection process, yet no senate member showed up when asked multiple times by our CFC Program director, Paul Cody , to the new CFC boaRd member selection that took place in the last three weeks. if you think that i have said something insulting and would like to address me personally then you can email me at ggoel@ucdavis.edu.Also , you can get a list of the current board members by emailing our manager at cfc@ucdavis.edu.<br> - <br> - Thank you Gaurav Goel CFC Vice- Chair ggoel@ucdavis.edu</span> </td> <td> <span>+ Comment deleted by user - GG</span> </td> </tr> </table> </div> Club Finance Councilhttp://daviswiki.org/Club_Finance_Council2012-01-13 10:32:48TomGarbersonRevert to version 21 (Restoring deleted comments). <div id="content" class="wikipage content"> Differences for Club Finance Council<p><strong></strong></p><table> <tr> <td> <span> Deletions are marked with - . </span> </td> <td> <span> Additions are marked with +. </span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 12: </td> <td> Line 12: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td> <span>+ <br> + [[Comments]]<br> + <br> + ''2005-04-21 18:42:30'' [[nbsp]] If you've ever wondered why people dislike ["ASUCD"] and/or ["SPAC"], look no further than CFC.
