Everything is so light, delicious, and they serve up HUGE portions for good prices. I always leave this place full and with leftovers, which is saying a lot considering I eat like a football player! The tofu omelette, salmon crepe, Florentine crepe, and Greek salad are fabulous! The Caesar salad with chicken at the Sacramento location was huge and yummy, and did not have too little chicken. However, I wish I'd been warned about the extra charge to switch out the potatoes for salad. --["Users/JennaChan"]
------
2006-03-25 19:44:42 nbsp You know, Crepeville is good. I go there a lot. But GOD AWFUL service. I will sit there for a whole hour and their crappy help wil never come and pick up my plate. Most of the time I get so tired of not having my plate taken that I take it to the kitchen myself. Phillipe, please take a hint and coach your staff about taking disches when you're done. Thanks. --["Users/DavisLurker"]

2006-03-25 21:32:44 nbsp Ever consider that they don't want you to sit there taking up a table for an hour after you're done with your meal? Most counter service cafes don't bus plates until people get up. The idea is that you eat and then leave. Seems like a pretty nitpicky thing to complain about at a place where you have to get your own waters and drink refills. --["Users/JeffSpeckles"]

2006-03-26 00:19:13 nbsp I think "DavisLurker" is unreasonable to expect staff to promptly clean up after her/him at a place that doesn't offer full table service... But Crepeville caters to (and depends on) the student population by virtue of its close proximity to campus, menu selection, and availability of wifi. It's absolutely nuts if they don't expect people to hang out there - after all, isn't it a *good* thing to have lots of folks want to spend lots of time at your establishment? Having too many people wanting to spend time in your establishment is a problem that most any retail/restaurant business owner would really want to have. That said, it's reasonable for the staff to police the tables (especially during busy times) and require people to purchase something or leave after a reasonable period of time. I'm surprised they don't do this already. --["Users/GrahamFreeman"]

Well having lots of people spend lots of time at your business is great if they're buying stuff. They clearly cater to that crowd by having the wifi connection. Sometimes they need tables for customers if they're busy though; just suggesting that may have been the case. --["Users/JeffSpeckles"]
------
2006-04-23 22:31:29 nbsp Good food... but terrible customer service once it gets busy. They have no customer service whatsoever when there are more than 5 ppl in line. We waited 2 hours for our food and were served many many minutes after people who came in 45 mins after we did. After multiple inquiries to where our food was we were told "there is nothing we can do" and were forced to wait. I wouldn't be surprised if the bastard who owns it isn't reporting the majority of what he makes because it is a cash only business. I'd love to see his taxes. Tax evasion, anyone? --["Users/ElizabethAbinante"]
------
2006-04-23 23:01:36 nbsp Hmmmm, libel, anyone? --["Users/JeffSpeckles"]
------
2006-05-02 22:37:08 nbsp Ok guys. I have worked in the crepeville in davis for almost 2 years now. First of all... thanks for the compliments, I'm glad you guys appreciate the food and the hard work because believe me... it is hard work! As far as busing tables goes DavisLurker back off!! We are working as hard as we can! Guys ARE allowed to work there, in fact I hired a guy to work there. The owner is not sexist or racist so everyone just relax. The food is fantastic! My fav. is the cannelloni. --["Users/JessieBear"]
------
2006-05-11 02:09:12 nbsp I would definitely say get a whole caesar than a half one. For the money, it's so much more...Chicken Pesto crepe is hella good too..... --["Users/ChrisLee"]
------
2006-05-26 08:53:59 nbsp The wait for the food was ok, but definitly worth it. The portions were large and the crepes were the best crepes Ive ever had for lunch. I would definitly recommend crepeville if youre really hungry, and in to crepes. --["Users/AlexKang"]
------
2006-06-09 11:50:53 nbsp I have never witnessed such bad service. I am a vegan and have never had trouble finding food anywhere. All I wanted was potatoes made with oil instead of butter. The servers were very unaccommodating and made my request seem like a huge burden… Also they repeated that if I wanted something vegan I should just get a side of Tofu. Finally we resolved that it is impossible to have vegan potatoes at this establishment and that I should go with a tofu scramble with out eggs… Food shows up at a reasonable time with my eggless scramble, 2 pieces of toast, half a plate of (NON VEGAN potatoes), and a cube of butter to top it off. I realize that it takes a little extra effort to accommodate my requests but my experience was ridiculous and the outcome was disappointing. --["Users/GeorgeKastanza"]
* Frigging vegans. Make your food at home, or eat at a place that specifically caters to vegans if a tiny bit of butter will ruin your day.
------
2006-06-22 22:37:30 nbsp The crepes are good. I love the chicken curry w/ extra sauce. But....the service is terrible. Can be VERY slow at times and sometimes it seems like they "forget" people's orders. Hmmmm? --["Users/MomsHome"]
* The only time that I've had slow service was during the busy hours. But I guess it's cause I don't mind waiting for some good food. And what do you exactly mean by service? All they do is bring you your order. As for getting water and to go boxes, that's all on you. --["Users/JoAnnaRich" JR]
------
2006-07-03 00:07:41 nbsp Their crepes are okay, way overrated, but all in all decent. However, having free Wifi rocks and their Fuji Salad is very very good for its price and the portion is large. --["Users/AlvinTsao"]
------
2006-07-05 12:13:54 nbsp The cannelloni crepe + chicken wasn't so bad, but the waitresses made the experience terrible. Just b/c you happen to be attractive with a big rack doesn't give you the right to treat your customers as if they're beneath you. I stopped counting after the 6th time one of the waitresses rolled their eyes at me for asking a question. When the server came to our table with the wrong order, she kept yelling at us with the, "Are you sure you didn't order this? This ham and cheese bagel ISN'T yours?" as if we'd forget what we had ordered!! (Mind you, it took at least 30 minutes to get 3 crepes to our table, so we might just have had a bought of memory loss during the waiting process.) I really WOULDN'T recommend this place. If you want some crepes, just go the UCD Silo. The cooks are much faster and much nicer. And you won't be belittled by waitresses who somehow manage to think they're serving in a restaurant in L.A. w/ the attitude they display and the demeanor in which they handle themselves. --["Users/HeidiDris"]
------
2006-07-26 16:37:52 nbsp Everyone needs to back off the employees. Who cares if they're hot. If they're rude, it has nothing to do with the fact that they're attractive. That's what an ugly person would say.

As for vegan food, how do you know their cooking process isn't set up to cook potatoes in bulk using butter. Maybe cooking a separate batch with oil WOULD be an overwhelming inconvenience. --["Users/ChrisMay"]
------
2006-08-04 12:42:33 nbsp nightmare staff of rudies galore! also, home to janky espresso drinks. eek! --["Users/EmilyFrançais" Frenchie]
------
2006-08-20 13:46:18 nbsp Well, I don't know why I'm "criticizing" this place, because people won't stop eating there (?) Ate there recently for breakfast with a friend, and despite the fact that it was not very busy+ at least 5 people in the kitchen, our food was disgusting. My companion ( I could have this wrong) I think wanted to get eggs sunny-side up but couldn't (?) and my potatoes were super-gross. Being a former hash-slinger/egg flipper myself, I am all too familiar with the intricacies of preparing breakfast potatoes. These were 1. undercooked- there was a complete absence of any sort of crispy-brownedness 2. laden with pre-ground black pepper-no big deal, just flavorless and pointless 3. the most prominent flavor of the potatoes was an all-too familiar "funk" which happens when the cooked potatoes (after being boiled) are not cooled properly, and therefore ferment slightly while sitting in the walk-in or maybe just out on the counter. Gross, y'all! --["Users/DianaChristofersen"]
------
2006-10-04 18:36:40 nbsp The last time I was here, I ordered a strawberry crepe, and didn't care for it much. It probably would have been very tasty if it hadn't been sitting in a lake of strawberry sauce, rendering the crepe very soggy, and topped with a mountain of whipped cream, such that the crepe itself wasn't even visible. Serious overkill. --["Users/AnnaJones"]
------
2006-10-06 01:12:32 nbsp The food is okay. Some of the crepes are a bit tasteless and the prices could be lower. Also we once had to wait, literally, half an hour for one of those friggin Nutella crepes. Not cool. --["Users/AricaChhay"]
------
2006-11-16 17:16:17 nbsp The half Caesar salad with grilled chicken on top is great. I highly recommend it. --["Users/EliseKane"]
------
2006-11-19 00:05:01 nbsp I used to come here every day. But NO MORE. Not after this rudeness. The first incident happened right after I got settled at my table. The manager came and told me I had to move to a different table because a group needed this area. Fine. A few days later, I was drinking tea while working on my laptop. I was about to get up to order soup when the same manager came over to tell me I had to order something else or leave. I told him I was about to, that I just needed to finish something first. Then he condescendingly said “I would appreciate if you listened to me.” He continued to speak to me like a child, even going so far as to call me “sweetie” while explaining that others were waiting. There were indeed people waiting to order, but isn’t that how it works? First come first served? Crepeville shouldn’t create café-like ambiance with wifi and a coffee menu if they don’t want to provide that experience. Don’t come here to relax. Hurriedly eat and go, or you’ll be told to leave. --["Users/AvitalBinshtock"]

2006-11-19 13:29:53 nbsp Yeah damn him for asking a person who spent a dollar on tea to not camp out at a table in his restaurant when others are waiting to be seated with their food. --["Users/JonathanNasca"]
------
2006-12-08 19:55:56 nbsp I ordered a mimosa with my crepe. It came in a plastic cup. It was good in that it was twice the size of a normal mimosa (very big pro,) but bad in that it made it feel a little ghetto (very small con.) --["Users/AnnaJones"]

The horror! Ya know, I had to walk past a murder scene on the street in Richmond the other day. THAT felt a little ghetto. A plastic cup is decidedly bourgeoise, little princess, not ghetto. --["Users/JeffSpeckles"]
* What's with the hostility? If we're going to split hairs, the word you're looking for is probably "bourgeois," unless you really think the cup is a woman belonging to the middle class. In any case, your comment earns a 8 out of 10 on the "Supercilious-O-Meter". --["Users/AnnaJones"]
* I just find it more than a little silly to complain about drinking champagne out of a plastic cup at a place where you order off of a chalkboard. If you want fancy service go to a fancy restaurant. --["Users/JeffSpeckles"]
* This offends you far more than it's worth. Lighten up. --["Users/AnnaJones" A]
------
2006-12-12 19:34:05 nbsp I simply love this place. I had the salmon crepe, the grilled eggplant sandwich, and other items there before. The amount of stuff they give you is a LOT! I couldn't finish it all. --["Users/KiwiSelina"]
------
2006-12-18 11:12:40 nbsp I am a regular and spend quite a bit of cash here weekly. But, recently I, too, was informed by the manager that I needed to vacate my table, just seconds after finishing a $10 meal and a latte. What the hell? I didn't know they had a time limit on their tables? It really made me mad, esp since I was lucky enough to have secured that table in the first place during finals week and paid my dues so I could sit there for at least an hour in peace. I had every intention of buying another latte, too, in order to keep my little table for another 30 minutes. I don't plan to go there again and don't see this as a petty complaint. Get over yourselves! This is a college town and people like to eat, drink and read for an hour or so. Thank God this establishment isn't in Europe where cafes let you loiter for hours after purchasing one beverage! --["Users/GradStudent06"]

Thank god Davis isnt in Europe --["Users/FixedGear"]
------
2006-12-26 10:31:49 nbsp OMG the owner is a good friend of mine from the city, (crepes on cole?) great food makes me drive an hour and the free wifi helps out too.
