The Davis Joint Unified School District offers a state preschool program and general childcare aimed at children age 3 to 5 from low income families.
The preschool operates on a traditional school calendar, and parent participation is required. It is free for income qualifying families.
The childcare program operates 247 days per year, and is available to children age 3 to 5 (including kindergarteners) from low income families whose parent or guardian is working, in training, actively seeking employment, homeless or incapacitated. It is subsidized full and part time are for eligible children.
