I also had a computer problem and Computer Doctor fixed it right away as it was my router and my internet speed was terrible. 2009-08-10 18:56:26 Our laptop caught a virus and was suddenly running very slowly. Of course it was just when we needed it the most. We called the Computer Doctor and got great, prompt, reasonable service with total satisfaction. In only hours Jamie us back on line, with a healthy & speedy laptop. His competition couldn't get to us until the next week and he charged us just over half what they would have charged for a diagnosis. We highly recommend the Computer Doctor. Chuck —ChuckD

2009-11-24 12:50:47 Davis Computer Doctor saved all my files, and for a small fee got our computer running, actually it was just $35 to repair my computer. Jamie was able to do magic on our computer, and he spent extra time talking to me on the phone, and i never felt rushed or that my questions were not important. I highly recommend this company. 2010-01-21 13:18:32 I'm not the greatest with computers, but I know when there is a problem. My computer had been making loud humming noises for awhile; when I finally got around to fixing it...I decided to go to the Davis Computer Doctor.

Once I got there, he immediately had solutions to my problem. He blew out my laptop with a professional blower and uploaded software onto my computer, which I did not have before. He was VERY knowledgeable and friendly.

He charges $70/hr, but since I was only there for 15 mins, it was $17. All in all it was a very good experience and I would highly recommend anyone to see him if they have any computer problems.

FYI. He runs his business out of his home, so look for the sign on the mailbox. Call ahead for an appointment. —GoAggies22

2010-02-09 11:55:46 I had been working on a very important project for work, it is Sunday night 8pm, my computer crashes, and then I got a blank screen. I called Davis Computer Doctor, because there ad said 7am - 11pm Sun -Sat, and I got a real person, within two hours Jamie got my document, and then next morning 8am my computer was perfect. The fee was under $100 he was great. I would highly recommend Computer Doctor, as the best repair place in Davis. Mark —Mark5577

2010-03-05 20:22:57 Had a serious problem with my computer, this virus took over taking me to sites I never heard of. I called around and Davis Computer Doctor was available and the most reasonable in price, and he could see me right away. Jamie works out of his house, he was knowledgable and friendly, he did not rush me and took the time to explain options. In fact he taught me some methods to protect my computer from virus, I left my computer with him for a few hours, and for just $35 he removed the virus and my computer was back to normal. There is no question in my mind that Jamie enjoys his work, in fact we talked about how interesting computers are, and how they work. It was a real pleasure working with someone who truly likes what they do, there is a sense that it is about the work and not the money. I will recommend Davis Computer Doctor to my friends, and Jamie did make my computer feel better!!!!!! —dana3333

2010-03-06 18:52:37 UCD student, in middle of a sentence my computer froze, would not move, written already a page of text. Was worried I would lose the page had to hand write what was typed, then tried to restart my computer, and it would not boot up. My paper is due Monday, what am I to do. I telephoned my Father who looked on line, reading right from this web site, Davis Wiki, and Dad found Davis Computer Doctor. He called for me and an appointment was set for 1pm. I found the house on J street, and met the owner/ tech. I never know what to expect with computer guys, but Jamie was normal, easy to talk to, friendly. We discussed options and cost. It was most important to me to get my paper, I had more that I was unable to copy. The back up would be $45, and that was so reasonable, because I had put hours into papers. Then the repair $35- $75. Computer would be finished either Sunday morning, or Saturday night depending on the time it took to repair. I left feeling in good hands, within 90 minutes I received a call, my computer was finished, it was the less expensive price. I would have paid $75 to repair it, (actually my Father would have paid) it was only $35 for the repair, and $45 for the back up, no other charges. Jamie said it was the same price on Sunday as Monday, he did not believe in taking advantage of clients in need. I am working on my paper now, and I want to say thank you so much for all your help, Davis Computer Doctor is a real business that does what it says, the virus was is all gone. Beth —bethbeth477

2010-04-01 15:41:35 I recently used the computer doctor for the first time and was very satisfied with his services. He is very knowledgable, patient, and easy going. He was one of the only computer company's in Davis that returned my call. I called him the morning of March 31th and he called me back right away, within 20 minutes and we made an appointment to drop off my computer. My laptop was recently hit with the "security tool" virus and it was making using my computer difficult and frustrating. Since I run a small business, my computer is very important to me. He outlined in his contract what work would be performed and the cost and updated me by phone calls the progress of his work. He said he would try to cleanup the system first, but if that did not work then he would wipe the system. The problem ended up being more serious than originally thought and needed to be wiped, but I had not backed up any of my files. He offered to back up my files for only $25 dollars as opposed to the normallthy 50/75 dollars so my total bill was $100 for all the work and time he put into fixing my computer the, getting rid of the virus, backing up my files, loading spyware software, and reloading all the programs. I had my computer back my 8am on April 1st. I am very happy with the results, cost, and time it took to work on my computer. He took my slow-running 2006 Gateway PC with years of accumulated viruses, malware, etc. and within 24 hours had it running as fast as the day I first bought it. Extremely reasonable pricing too for the service he provides. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and can diagnose and fix the problems quickly. I had the worst virus on my computer and almost lost everything. I called and the owner took my computer right away. We were able to save ALL of my work. He took the time to explain everything and even had my computer back to me that same day. Thank goodness because I had a project i needed it for. This is your best choice! well within hours, Davis Computer Doctor got my computer working like new, I did not lose anything, all my stuff is there.
