A group performs a dance act during the 2005 Davis is Burning.
Davis is Burning is an annual gender-bending event hosted by Delta Lambda Phi, the fraternity for Gay, Bisexual & Progressive Men, with support from Lambda Delta Lambda, the Progressive Sorority. It has been held annually since 1990.
Originally, it was held in the house of a DLP fraternity brother, was eventually moved to the 3rd & B Teen Center, and then (how recently?) found a home for many years at the Veteran's Memorial Center, located on the corner of 14th and B. Starting in 2008, it is held at Freeborn Hall on the UC Davis campus.
The program used to consist of everyone who entered the competition doing a song and dance number. Due to the success of the event in recent years, people must now audition to perform in the competition. Usually, auditions are held the week of the event.

The current program consists of multiple acts and several rounds of competition to determine the Drag King and Queen.

The event is the biggest and most respected drag performance in Davis. It's also the only one. It's a great way to get the most use out of your Halloween costume.

Each year, it has also been followed by a large house party.
There have been Aggie articles on it, and in fact, in 2001 (?) a member from the student senate played a large role in it (?) which became subject of parody (?).
