Traditionally, Delta Chi was very involved in student government, having placed three members in the ASUCD Senate, Thomas Lloyd,Tiny Sanders, and Ravi Deepak in its early years. Thomas Lloyd was commonly quoted and featured in Aggie Articles involving ASUCD Senate. Tiny was elected in the Fall 2005 election which raised controversy due to eligibility restrictions involving some of the runners previous SJA records. Tiny was not one of the senator elects with the ineligible records, but was held from being seated up until the third week of Winter quarter 2006 when a bill of compromise was passed. Tiny would later become the President Pro-Tempore of the Senate, due to his demonstrated mastery of procedure. Ravi was nominated to replace him, however, he declined to run for it.
