2008-02-26 15:30:22   As a promo deal, Domino's is currently selling $3.99 one-topping pizzas for carryout only. They're also throwing in some promotional gift certificates that let you get a free 2L bottle of soda, cheesy bread, or some other munchy item. I don't know how long this deal will last, but seeing as they're only a block from my domicile, I think my roommates and I will be visiting them again within the next few days. —PhilChiu

2008-02-27 08:11:29   Just a note: Its not the first Domino's in Davis. There was one that was originally where Pizza Guys is now on L street. —MyaBrn

2008-02-28 08:26:07   They are no longer selling $3.99 one-topping pizzas as mentioned above. —CalamityJanie

2008-03-13 01:47:23   Dominos is disgusting. Worst pizza crust, evah. —CurlyGirl26

2008-04-05 21:53:56   We waited over two hours and never got our pizza. The FIRST time we called we were told it was "out the door". 45 minutes later, we were begining to think our pizza was being delivered by advark or some other incredibly slow animal. The poor teenager on the phone seemed shocked when we called and cancelled out order. Piss poor way to get new customers. Our bad for trying something new. We won't be attempting another order. I don't give a donkey's butt how cheap it is. —BenWebber

2008-04-22 02:34:58   My bank account says the guy just charged my card three times for one order?? What is that about!! —Broderick

2008-05-10 08:24:30   I ordered a pizza here the other night, online, which is awesome. Call me antisocial but I hate calling in my order. The website also has a tracker so you can see when your pizza is being prepared, baked, and delivered. It was really easy, the pizza was delivered pretty promptly. I was surprised at the quality, as I figured it would something like Pizza Guys, but IMO it was way better tasting. They have coupons on the website that you can use. I used a coupon for one large one-topping pizza, chicken wings (which were also good, not overly saucy), and two 20-oz cokes for $19.99. The cokes weren't as cold as I would have liked, which would be my only complaint. Overall, a good experience and I will be ordering from here again. —mars

2008-05-19 23:27:07   dominos pizza is the yummy in my tummy, and its cheap. 4 4 4 deal. for those that got the pizza late or never at all: if it was out the door, then it was the delivery driver's fault, which means blame that delivery driver. not all delivery drivers at dominos are that incompetent though so don't forget to tip them ;) [WWW]http://tipthepizzaguy.com/donle

2008-05-30 16:47:43   Is the "555" deal the same as the 3 medium 1 topping pizzas for $5.55 each? If so, that deal is not defunct. I used it and they delivered it fairly quickly and the pizza was awesome. I'd been craving it since then so the other night I used it again but decided to pick it up since I had to be in the area anyway. They seemed to miss one of my pizzas, but they were really busy. They seemed to feel bad and cooked me up another one in about 6 minutes and gave me a coupon for something later. The pizza didn't seem as good that time, but I'll definitely be trying again. —BradBenedict

2008-06-07 22:47:32   I ordered a pizza at 8:30 asking if they delivered on campus. when they said yes I figured the bad pizza was worth the price and delivery. Don't get cell service on campus so I waited by window for 45 minutes. Finally got fed up and went to find service and called again. Guy on phone said they had tried to get a hold of me but couldn't so turned back. I said okay and to try again. before being able to clarify where to deliver I was hung up on. Waited another 45 minutes and still nothing. Finally drove to store and on the way got a message from the first delivery guy asking where to take pizzas even though I spelled it out for the order guy. Second delivery guy left message saying he didn't know if I was still there so he would wait for me to call back. When I got to the store to pick up pizzas guy set them down on the counter right next to the ants, yes ANTS ON THE COUNTER. Anyone know the number for the health department? —Mark2009

2008-06-12 02:26:30   If you eat here 1 you have to be drunk, desperate, or just have no clue what pizza is this place is terrible. I suggest froxzen pizza uncooked taste better than this place —Brians

2008-06-12 14:50:35   yupp.. I had a similar experience. LOTS OF ANTS EVERYWHERE... and the employees didnt seem to care one bit. —BradKern

2008-07-05 19:38:09   Dominos is an all right place, but PALES in comparison to the other joints in Davis. You shouldn't ever bother coming here. —JimBob

2008-07-14 21:42:09   They took almost 2 hours to deliver the first order... gave me three free coupons for side dishes to make up for it... then screwed up the second order and charged me full price, but they made up for it by giving me that order free plus my next order free, and let me keep the coupons for free sides... They are 0/2 on accuracy, but 2/2 with an A+ for service. Now my free pizzas are on the way... I can't wait! —William.Peacock

2008-07-20 22:44:46   I just ordered a Gotham pizza since it was cheap (9.99 large, extra pepperoni). The cheese was decidedly odd and un-melted. It seemed like that plastic coated cheese that you buy pre-grated in the store. Except it was even worse than that. The delivery boy obviously dropped the pizza on the way since it was all smashed down to occupy a rectangle that was 65% of the space one would expect.

Somehow the online coupon, which shows as $9.99 on the order screen failed to apply since they wanted $11.49 when it was delivered+delivery+tax.

To recap: 1. failure to have a good pizza 2. failure to delivery it without dropping it (and it was lukewarm at best) 3. failure to charge the price that is written on the coupon

I highly recommend Domino's. —CyraEmery

2008-07-21 18:41:43   they have probably the best deal in town right now.. xtra large one topping for only 6.99.. almost as good as their old 3.99 large pizza.
the only thing that kind of sucks is that its only for pick up..
its still a REALLY good deal. i just got mine and i didnt find anything wrong with it. i did want the black box for the gotham city pizza tho. there's collectible pieces on the bottom so you can dress up as batman. although i wouldnt want a used one on my face..
oh ya and the xtra large pizza said its only a limited time offer —packersgirl

2008-09-17 21:42:37   dominos is now out of business :( —donle

2008-09-21 03:24:11   dude, this place is hidden!! middle of nowhere near north davis safeway. —2point0student

2008-10-14 11:33:15   I called the other day and the phone line was disconnected. That either means I am stupid (entirely possible), or they are closed. I am guessing the later. —BretCorzine

2008-10-16 20:51:12   Domino's pizza is disgusting. You certainly get what you pay for...not a lot of cash can buy gross food. —JessicaKemp

2008-10-29 15:52:59   The 505 L Street location was a Domino's Pizza until 1994 when it changed to a "Superb Pizza" (1995 & 1996) before becoming a Pizza Guys. —St.Louis

2008-11-06 22:07:29   Good thing it's close to the hospital. You might need to go afterwards. Pure shite. —thelonepiper555

2009-01-04 17:54:56   I just got coupons from them. Apparently they are open again? —BretCorzine

2009-01-05 13:05:14   I got a free pizza from Dominos and it didn't taste bad, as the rumors make it sound... —Onewin

2009-04-18 22:22:50   Everyone should know by now that Domino's is merely average. In fact on a Davis-scale I'd say it is below average. However I'm a customer simply because of their good deals. Just thought I'd mention that their $7.99 1-topping large pizza deal for Picnic Day is one of the best Calorie-per-cent deals you can get. Anywhere. —ElJefe
