Emet students show support for Israel at SJP's "Anarchists against the Fence" program
Emet: Students with Israel is a pro-Israel student group at UC Davis. Emet strives to educate, provide an accurate portrayal of Israel, and promote Israel awareness on campus in all areas relating to culture, history, politics, and society.
Emet's Goals:
-
Educate themselves about Israel.
-
Share the culture and history of Israel with the greater campus community.
-
Actively Support Israel's right for existence within the international community.
-
Fight anti-Semitism on campus.
As a group, Emet does not take a position on internal/external Israeli politics. Every member is entitled to his/her own opinion. However, we do advocate a fair look at all sides of the issues, and not simply blaming a side. Emet strives to facilitate and encourage a healthy discussion of Middle East affairs, while enjoying good Israeli foods.
Meetings are usually held at 7:00pm, Tuesday night at the Hillel House 328 A Street, Davis, CA. If you are interested, feel free to join our Facebook Group, contact Hillel, or just show up at one of our meetings.
