There's something interesting to write mentioning some of the festivals. Then there could be a list also. —BruceHansen
As other editors have told you many, many, MANY times, it does the wiki no good to make a page without content. So far, neither you nor anyone else has come up with a festival that is not an annual event, and thus listed already on the annual events page. -cp
"There's something interesting to write mentioning some of the festivals" ... OK. That's great. When it's written, let's make a page for it. I feel like we've had this conversation about not creating pages until you've got content for them before. —TomGarberson
Let's get this straight. I did not create this page. I was giving my opinion. Beyond my previous statement above, I'll say that talking about festivals would have quite a different tone than annual events. Festivals are only one segment of annual events and each individual festival is distinct. I don't see any merit in having to search annual events and looking up each individual festival to find out about it or maybe see a little blurb about it on annual events. So maybe we're agreed on the idea of having a festival page, it's just a question of whether or not someone or some will create a decent page. Again just a reminder that this issue came up because I started an Incubator page, not knowing that there was an annual events page and then I was dealing with that knowledge. I like the idea of floating a potential page in the Incubator without getting the same scrutiny as a full fledged page. Also I created this talk page without moving the talk from from the article page; if I was remiss in that regard, I apologize. -bh

What is "the Incubator"?

You're not just "giving an opinion." You are yet again starting a discussion about a page for without having any specific content in mind. Then when that gets pointed out to you, you get defensive and act as though you are the injured party, when the truth is that you are making people explain the same things to you over and over again, and it's tiresome. If you're feeling attacked, the solution is simple — please just stop doing it. If you have edits to make, make them. But please do not start discussions about pages that seem to you like they might be a nice idea, but you really don't have anything specific in mind. —CovertProfessor

1. Professor, the discussion had already started with others on the article page. It seems to me that it's acceptable to discuss more general concepts or points rather than specific edits. I don't know that I need to have things repeated. It wasn't my intent to invite repetition, although there may be some hashing things out or clarification. 2. An Incubator page is not yet a regular page. It isn't subject to deletion under ordinary circumstances for not being adequate. Anyone may edit it or criticize it. It may become a regular page after it develops enough. I would prefer to not be the only one to answer this question. —BruceHansen

There's not really such a thing as "the Incubator", and there's no real special protection from being deleted unless everybody agrees to it by social convention — and you seem to be the only one using the concept. In general, all pages may be edited or criticized. If you have content, I (and others) would suggest you simply create a regular page with that content. The problem that people are having is that you're making many pages with no content (note that I am repeating what CP is saying above). -jw
