| A diva who rules with a pudgy, striped fist |
My husband and I adopted Fiona in August of 2010 from a cat rescue group in Sacramento. She is very loving but can also be a bit bratty/diva and sometimes gets very hyper and runs through the house so fast it sounds like horses galloping. She loves to chase lasers and bite and kick stuffed toys. She sleeps in our bed on a blanket we made for her. She has her own couch that she can claw all she wants and sunbathe on as well as other assorted cat furniture. She is my constant companion and likes to follow me around. Meowing and purring are two of her favorite activities. She has chronic feline herpes in her eye and digestion problems but we make sure she visits the doctor when she needs to and we make sure she gets her medicine and special food every day.
She has very pretty stripes all over her body, especially her tail. She has a very pronounced fat pad that sways when she walks. It is so pronounced that upon noticing it during a routine nail trim, the veterinarian became concerned and gave her an ultrasound. We were especially worried because her brother, Javier, died of FIP, which is characterized by fluid build-up in the abdomen, in January of 2010. However, the ultrasound showed no fluid and the vet declared that Fiona just carries all of her weight in that one area. Fiona is very smart and comes when her name is called. She can also say "momma." Her growing list of nicknames includes: Fiona Bologna (pronounced to rhyme with Fiona), little bit, little one, babydoll, bebe, booboo, baby cat, and many more.
