2011-08-14 21:47:33 I recently went back to Davis to visit some friends. I spent the night on Saturday and went with them to church at FBC on Sunday morning. What I heard that Sunday disgusted me. FBC talked about how welcoming of a church they are and how they are here to help the community. They also mentioned that college students are the loneliest people in the world and how their Stephen ministers are here to help.
A year ago I was a regular at FBC. Long story short after being shunned by my friends at the time, I tried going to college life. But Dan Seitz was friends with one of those who were shunning me and banned me from college life. (He lifted the ban after I graduated from school and was informed I was moving away...) After being alone and unwanted in a Christian community I just felt like I wanted to die.(Which wasn't all FBC's fault) I knew I wasn't supposed to feel this way to I went to a few Stephen ministers. After I met with two of them, they stopped seeing me, they refused to return my calls and emails. After all of this I knew where I wasn't wanted and stopped going to FBC. Before I left Davis, I wanted to try one last time to make things right with FBC, due to the few friends I had left in Davis mainly went there. I met with Scott Weiking, San Seitz and a friend of mine. Scott was great, but Dan's reaction to the suicide feeling and attempt was telling me that I needed to feel suicidal to know my place. This is absolutely disgusting to me. For FBC to make the claim that they are here to help in my opinion is a LIE. They are here to manipulate and to hurt. I NEVER want anyone to feel the way I did. I don't care who you are. So before you seek help from them, ask yourself if you're willing to be put in your place by FBC. —Dozer
