During this Holiday season, including what some refer to as Turkey day, let's not forget the majesty that is the Turkey. While some enjoy eating said bird, others enjoy watching the sometimes quirky and regal behavior of Ben Franklin's favorite bird that almost became our national symbol.
Around town you might see some wild roamers by the cemetery district or over by the sustainable research area, including the student farm, domes and the experimental college community gardens. Or the weekend before thanksgiving the annual turkey trot brings out a lot of turkeys of another kind.
For those more adventurous check out Branigan's Turkey Farm near town, famed for supplying turkeys to the White House under President Reagan.
And be sure to check out the regular events that happen for the day..

Hints for Editing
A good place to start is by checking out the Davis Wiki Guide.
A wiki is a linked set of pages that anybody can edit and contribute to if they have the time, access to internet, and a computer. Wikipedia is the prime example of a successful wiki project. Also, check out Why Wiki Works for some information on the philosophy of wiki.
Feel free to make new pages! — and try to remember to link them. Also, if you don't know where to start or don't have any ideas, check out To Do.
To see the most recent edits made you can look at the Recent Changes page. Also, be sure to check your userpage as people will at times leave you comments on there.
