Rumor has it that new restaurants and other arriving businesses are often delayed in opening because of delays in the City performing the necessary inspections. Can anyone confirm, deny, or elaborate?
Here is a Davis Enterprise letter to the editor, suggesting the following addition to Councilman Dan Wolk's "Action Plan for Downtown": "Speed up city reviews and inspections of new retail businesses and restaurants to get them operating in a timely fashion."
