| Next International Festival — October 1, 2011 |
The free-admission International Festival celebrates Unity in Diversity as its chief theme. This is a fundraiser to support International House Davis.
The 2011 festival coincides with I-House celebrating its 30th year welcoming international students and scholars to Davis and hosting current events lectures, languages classes and cultural events for community members at 10 College Park.
The festival will be held at the Veterans Memorial Center at 203 E. 14th St. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
What will happen at the International Festival?

Dancing, music, food, educational lectures, and lots of children’s activities

More than 20 country tables devoted to education about a particular area of the world.

An ethnic marketplace where vendors sell international wares.

Food for sale! No alcohol will be sold.

A children's global village full of things for kids to do, see and create.

2011-10-01 17:09:34 The 5 year old and I went to this today. Vet's Hall was really too crowded, dangerously so. The performances were terrific. I don't know why they couldn't have performed in the theater though. It would be more comfortable, all the patrons would be able to see, and it would free up room in the hall. —NoelBruening
