JJ Charlesworth was a Davis City Council candidate in the 2004 City Council Election. He received 1,349 votes or 2.8% of the total votes casted. On February 2, 2004 Charlesworth suggested cuting the Davis Police Department's budget citing Davis' low crime rate and city budget deficit. On March 3, 2004, a day after the election, Charlesworth stated his support of campaign finance laws and also stated that he accepted only $20 in donations for his campaign. According to the California Aggie, Charlesworth campaigned very little in the election and only showed up to 2 forums out of 11 provided.
JJ Charlesworth was also a Davis City Council candidate in the 2002 City Council Election. He received 865 votes or 3.2% of the total votes casted. JJ Charlesworth is an actor and (former student/gradudate) of Sacramento State University.
