An automatically generated front page shows little care for relevance. The idea of a featured page is sound, I believe, regardless of the fact that many are too lazy to keep it updated. The real issue, I believe, is people putting time-sensitive features that aren't actually "featured pages," e.g. events. There are many pages that I come across while browsing that I say "whoa, that's a pretty cool page." The problem, perhaps, is that you have to expell ''effort'' to do something other than placing a single bullet point with the name of the page someplace. This is true, but such is life. --["Users/PhilipNeustrom"]<br> - * I have to say the featured page kind of intimidates me. If it is considered a debate, the page is a mess, but a forum for discussing the name of the house? The page is still bulky, but at least the desire to funnel the opinions into pro and con wouldn't be there. Why can't Davis Wiki have forums anyway? Where/how else can people publicly talk about stuff like this? If we chop up individual people's opinions, I think something would be lost, though I agree things could be consolidated. Perhaps somebody here can come up with a "forum" page template.
