Laura Bealer, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist practicing at Downtown Davis Massage and Wellness. Until recently she was practicing at Davis Community Acupuncture Clinic. She is very gentle, practicing the Japanese style of acupuncture which uses very thin needles.

Laura's specialties include pain management and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. She studies and practices the methods of world-renowned acupuncturist Dr. Richard Tan. Her other professional interests include women's health within the broader scope of family practice. In addition to acupuncture she has Chinese herbs available to aid in the treatment of conditions ranging from chronic pain, headaches, allergies, to nerve pain.

Laura Bealer, LAc holds a Master’s degree from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College, Berkeley. She came to love acupuncture and Chinese Medicine through her own experience as a teenager, when it helped her to heal from a painful gastrointestinal issue that was difficult to diagnose.

Laura grew up in Ventura County, California, in a household that utilized nutrition and herbal medicine to heal.

She is offering a new client discount in May of 2012 and an ongoing student discount.

Appointments are 60 minutes for return clients and 90 minutes for initial evaluations and treatment.

2011-11-07 13:36:25   Laura was awesome! She was very gentle with the needles, I barely felt them. She had an extremely comforting and caring disposition. The treatment room and clinic was relaxing as well. Overall I went in for stress reduction resulting in sleep loss, and left feeling more relaxed than I had in a while and got better nights sleep for several days following. The price of the clinic was great too since it functioned on a sliding scale. I'll be going back for more treatments! —IlanPrudhomme
