Longboarding is a prominent method of transportation utilized, primarily by students, to get from place to place in Davis. Longboards are characterized by their longer lengths and wideness compared to a skateboard. Due to its design, conventional tricks are very difficult, but allows for smoother, longer strides due to its increased momentum. This makes it an ideal method of getting around campus and offers a viable alternative to biking or skateboarding. In place of tricks a new style of riding has developed, known as longboard dancing. The rider most often associated with it's development is [WWW]Adam Colton.
