2007-05-17 13:23:56   I've rented a property managed by Lyon for going on 2 years and I've been extremely pleased. The property manager, Mary, is the nicest, hardest-working lady. She even helped us negotiate down the rent increase that the owners tried to stick us with last year. Completely changed my perception of property management firms. —BillyBudd

2007-08-23 18:02:53   HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY FROM LYON REAL ESTATE DAVIS. The agents there are not professional. Dealt with Lisa Navarro - she lied numerous times and has a smut attitude. I was there for a simple lease application, and she could not even handle that! She lied about pulling my credit report and still tried to keep the money I paid for her to pull it! She took 4 days to respond to my message, and that was only after I contacted the branch manager. She also lied about when my application was received (Handed it on Thursday, and she said that I did not submit it until the following Monday!). Lisa Navarro does not know how to conduct business in a professional or timely manner. She told me and my roommate to fill out our application in a certain way and then lied to us as well as her colleagues about it. She is rarely in the office, which can only mean being a 'realtor' is a hobby or part time job for her. She is more interested in salsa dancing than conducting business! STAY AWAY! —BuildingBuyer

2007-10-20 21:13:35   Excellent! My name is Lisa Navarro and I have been an agent with Lyon Real Estate for the past eight years. I am proud of the reputation I and the other Realtors in my office have earned through honesty, integrity and plain old hard work. I also manage rental properties for out of town owners as do many other agents in my office. Some of our applicants are young adults new to independence and securing housing and do not understand how the rental process works. It is my job to ensure that any rental applicant have income sufficient to pay the rent. If an applicant earns less than the rent payment every month, then I have no other choice than to decline their application. Nearly every applicant I have explained this to over the years seemed to understand and thanked me for my time. Unfortunately, the one applicant I've had in eight years who did not understand and became beligerant and abusive to the point that the receptionist had to threaten to call the police happens to be the same applicant who made the derogatory post about me on this website. While the Davis wiki is a wonderful resource for many things, posts can also be misleading and downright untruthful. Lyon Real Estate is an outstanding company. Stop by our office. 2009-02-04 16:29:04   I have worked with Lyon Real Estate both personally and professionally. I would say that they only look out for themselves. The agents are not helpful, the properties are not taken care of and they make false accusations. Only rent or buy if you are desperate. —violet45

2009-07-21 13:48:43   I think it's funny how Violet45 made negative comments on three different property managers within five minutes of each other. Makes me wonder if this person is in the business and is just trying to put down other companies. Shame on you! Lyon in Davis is a fine real estate AND property management company. They now have a property manager who ROCKS and is really on top of things and takes good care of all of her clients. — Kim13
