Montgomery Elementary houses a satellite program of the district's Spanish Immersion program, serving grades K-3. To continue with the program in grades 4-6, students need to transfer to Cesar Chavez Elementary School.

On April 30, 2011, the school played host to a swarm of volunteers from Mormon Helping Hands who did extensive landscaping and cleanup.
