Mike McClain is the "Agony of Defeat" guy from the 2003 World Series of Poker. In the 2004 WSOP he made it to the Final Table, and then promptly busted out. Last year saw him taunted mercilessly by (eventual winner) Jamie Gold, who at one point offered to "buy him a skirt with my winnings".
Although his favorite poker player is Daniel Negreanu, a superstar famous for uncanny reads and aggressive betting, McClain's style is best described as very conservative and unimaginative, with many commenting on his complete "lack of flair".
He currently resides in North Davis with his wife and daughters. His son Chris is going to school in San Luis Obispo. He has an obnoxious habit of alternately being indecisive or saying no before you ask him. "Mikey, what want you for dinner?" "Oh, I don't care, whatever sounds good to you." "Mike, can I..." His niece routinely smokes him at draw poker. She has a much better poker face than him.
