Muscle Movers

Muscle Movers are a group of physically fit UC Davis students who spend their summers helping people around the area move their belongings. Muscle Movers are best known for their ability to provide their clients with real, muscular men who will work hard to get the job done. Unlike other moving companies, Muscle Movers guarantee all of their movers to be physically fit for the task of moving. In addition, the rates are half of what other moving companies charge (no hidden fees). This moving service does not provide moving trucks, just the muscle and equipment to load/unload ones rental truck. In many cases, clients have found it cheaper to rent a U-Haul+muscle movers than to go with a company that provides both truck+mover services.

• There are no extra fees for moving heavier items such as pianos or hot tubs.
  

• Fuel charge to cover transportation only applies when the move is outside of Davis.
  

• $5 scheduling fee goes to pay for equipment and scheduling.

Aside from muscle, the movers do have dollies and straps.

Muscle Movers was originally created by several UC Davis seniors who needed some extra money during the summer. Yet after working with other moving companies, they became fed up with having to give a middle man a majority of their earnings for arranging the move jobs. Many of the Muscle Movers have worked in moving services over the summers and can thus provide excellent service to clients. The movers are young, motivated, self-employed college students looking to make some extra money during the summer through this part-time job. Muscle Movers operates without a license or insurance. It is by no means a business; however steps are being taken to make that happen.

Hankim is a tough cookie to please so I believed them simply off his vouch, but more people coming out the woodwork just strengthens the 3 degrees of Davisniss to it all Daubert

2011-11-24 15:12:23   Late this summer I first tried to schedule an appointment with Davis Movers, who were so inefficient and unresponsive that I decided to take my business elsewhere. I'm glad these guys just started a business, because they were timely, hard-working, efficient and nice guys who took care with all the items they moved. My friend and I hired them to help us move to two different locations, so we had them driving all around town that day, and they had no problem with it. They were professional and worth the price. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else who is moving, and would hire them again. One was even so nice he gave me two barstools he had sitting in his car that matched a bar table I had! —lingawonga
