If you tell us what is incorrect on the Paul Petrovich page, we would be happy to fix it. I don't think it's likely the entire article is incorrect though — on the wiki, you have to live with the good as well as the bad. Don't be afraid to add facts that show you in a more positive light. —BrentLaabs
2008-12-09 12:06:53 Howdy, Paul. What's wrong with the Paul Petrovich entry? If you've said what's incorrect, I'm sorry, but I believe most people restoring it missed what is wrong with it. Please communicate... people are trying to understand what your position is, but you are not explaining your position at all. It's a bit like somebody just knocking over a table at the Farmer's Market over and over without a word. If there's a problem, please let the rest of the editors know. —Evan 'JabberWokky' Edwards
2008-12-10 12:38:41 I don't know if the users with Petrovich in them are aware of how the wiki works, IE talk pages, and user pages. —StevenDaubert
2008-12-10 12:50:25 I have just spoken with the secretary at the number for Petrovich dev, I inquired if it was actually Paul behind the two users names, and stressed that if was to look at the welcome/business owner, and that we want to foster a sense of community and cooperation instead of a shunning resentment (which someone unfamiliar with the wiki could interpret the circumstances as) I also left my name and phone number so if Paul has trouble navigating the wiki he can give me a jingle, however I noted that I am just 1 users, with no special powers. —StevenDaubert
2008-12-10 20:50:03 Can I just pay $10 to lock the page already? —BrentLaabs

If he does it again today after having been contacted, yeah, it'll likely get locked (if just to get him to respond). It wasn't certain that he understood that he was being communicated with, so I held off. I almost locked it when I dropped the stop macro on there. —jw
2008-12-11 11:15:40 Having spoken with Petrovich via proxy I can see the situation from his side:
Petrovich won the lawsuit against Hensley, he wants the link to the archive removed because it a spot of contention, I explained how we can't remove the archive @ archive.org, but we could remove the link. Savy net users can still find it if they are so inclined.
He is a "very busy man" but will try and engage in the wiki more, I also reiterated welcome to the wiki / business owner —StevenDaubert
I'm sorry, but I think it's a BAD idea to remove this link. The information contained there (contrary to Petrovich's assertion) isn't libelous in any fashion. He merely disagrees with it. I would rather have Hinsley's perspective remain in the record, regardless of whether or not people agree with it. Just because Petrovich is the type to take over a [$foo]sucks.com domain name to silence his critics doesn't mean we have to entertain such tomfoolery. Is there any good reason why we should? —WilliamLewis
