While I can not, and will not vouch for whether or not the individual is a member of the fraternity, this event did happen at least once and was brought to my attention and I asked the gentleman to either leave the women who spoke to me alone or to leave the premises. He ended up leaving after this. He did have a spiderweb tattoo and did look to be in his early 30's. I say restore the comments and let it be. If either of these "Vets" have an issue with it, they can use their ["Realname"] to dispute it or shut up and stop acting like degenerate imbeciles and making the military which I also served in look like a idiot factory.-- ["Users/Wes-P"]

This situation has gotten so incredibly stupid, even Jerry Springer can't comprehend the actions of the people involved.

Break out the popcorn or start dealing cards, the normally stupid stupidity gonna be really stupid for a while.
Cost: 2 SAN, or a major derangement

So, I don't know how the wiki normally goes about removing libelous comments like the ones that were just posted, but they are simply false. We don't have any members in their 30s, and afaik, nobody I know has a spiderweb tattoo on their elbow. Also the fact that both of these accounts were made for the purpose of badmouthing PDT, and were posted under the same IP I think is pretty sketchy. We're a new fraternity, so libel like this can be pretty damaging since we don't have much of a reputation yet. I don't see why these edits should stand. Help? -DylanSchaefer

Wait—so the incident actually happened, the guy does exist, and he is a member of the fraternity? —DonShor

So after a couple more days, can that whole thing just be deleted? Depending, of course, on how it all plays out. For all we know, Jen and her Jenfriend could be cougars that were spurned by a younger man with a tattoo—Don Shor

Incidentally, if anybody is concerned this is getting ugly, speak up. Right now, it appears to be a a troll giving back the same in reflection to pseudonym accounts that have very likely sockpuppeted. It's ugly and stupid, but not exploding (at least as I post this). Everybody is a moderator, yadda yadda... most know the drill, but there are a few new names popping up. If it gets too over the line, feel free to act (like William did when he removed the comments he thought were sockpuppets... yes, anybody can delete anything, and anybody can restore it. Thus the need to work patiently and together, lest it become a slapping contest). If you think it's getting really vicious, complain and we can lock the entry down. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Usually these things burn themselves out. —Evan 'JabberWokky' Edwards, jw.dw@timewarp.org, (814) 889-8845
