Most of the time I feel like I'm paying more for the dressing than for the salad (they don't know the meaning of 'go easy on the dressing') and some of the vegetables sometimes appear to be previously frozen/thawed. On more than one occasion, I've wanted to just get a dessert item here (which requires you to request it from the cashier), but would have had to wait through the entire line to get it. The food and service were simply horrible. We had been to Pluto's once before and things were "OK", but this will be the last time we set foot in there.<br> - <br> - The salad girl was too busy chastising us for marking our cards to listen to our order properly so half our food was not ready. At the meat bar the server asked my wife what she wanted then just walked away as she was telling him.<br> - <br> - We went tonight with my wife's 85-year-old grandmother and she tried the tri-tip. It was cold, tough and tasteless and she wound up regurgitating it in the bathroom. The chicken sausage on my salad was undercooked, cold and glutenous and to add insult to injury, my large salad was the same size as my wife's medium... I just had a bigger plate. In grandmother's words the food was "gross." She does not usually throw up from meals.... oh she just mentioned it was stringy too.<br> - <br> - The only thing we ordered that was decent was the coffee. My experience tonight was BAD and I will not go back. I kid you not - there was a cockroach walking on the rim of one of the salad bar containers. I had to point it out to the chef, at which point he simply wiped it off. Only after frowning at my wife did he decide maybe he should remove that container from the ice (however, I had seen it crawl across several containers). No apology or further comment from the salad chef. I'm not so paranoid about a cockroach, but it was symbolic of the rest of our experience too. The food was of poor quality - old and bad-tasting chicken in my salad, poor quality sausage, and it was cold and drafty inside. Think "The Jetsons". The food is served cafeteria-style. You first take a "guest check" (order form) as you enter. Then you find the food(s) you desire and tell the server(s) behind the counter what you wish. They'll hand you your order and --XpunchX-- fill out your order form. Give the form to the cashier when you pay. The advantage of cafeteria style service is that it eliminates the labor needed to bring food to tables (and bus them, as people are expected to bus their own).<br> + <br> + The menu is divided into these categories:<br> + <br> + Greens &amp; Things Pluto's salads are incredible. You can choose up to seven additions to either romaine or a mix. Delicious, sauces, bread and an option for meat finish them off. These are delicious, not to mention an excellent value.<br> + <br> + Meats &amp; Poultry They have a nice hot gas grill operating right in front of you to cook your meat. The options include flank steak, sausages, chicken and roast turkey.<br> + <br> + Veggies &amp; Spuds This category includes all sorts of delicious side dishes. They usually even have brussel sprouts. The garlic potato rings and onion rings are incredible. Note that the onion rings come with spicy BBQ sauce by default; mild is available on request.<br> + <br> + Sweets Lemon bars, brownies and cookies fill a glass-covered cake case next to the register. Prices are a little high for the quality of the treats.<br> + <br> + Quenchers Water, beer and a good selection of non-standard sodas are available, amongst other things.<br> + <br> + Little Astronaunts (the children's menu)<br> + <br> + And it is so fun. Really, you walk in, grab a little menu card, and as you make your rounds to each different category, the chef-behind the counter hole-punches your card. It's like a time-card, but for food. Then you check out at the counter and voila! Eat your stellar meal. If you eat there often, be sure to ask to be put "in the book". They'll enter your name in the binder and after 10 meals, your 11th is free!<br> + <br> + Plutos also has a handful of other restaurants in nearby galaxies, for a full listing check out their webpage <br> + <br> + Include(PhotoRequest)<br> + This page needs a picture of the interior during a busy period.</span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 3: </td> <td> Line 38: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <span>- My spastic colon aches for the former Soviet Union. Long lines, noisy, large cell usage (middle of the day on a weekend), But My personal Complaint is that the Salad Tasted Dirty. I felt like it hadn't been washed enough or something, and couldn't even eat half of it. And I'd been eating at the DC up until that point, so while I wasn't expecting anything fine, I wasn't expecting something worse than what Sodexho provides, either. --["MaxMikalonis"]</span> </td> </tr> </table> </div> Pluto'shttp://daviswiki.org/Pluto%27s2006-09-12 01:24:16ChrisLambertusComment added. <div id="content" class="wikipage content"> Differences for Pluto's<p><strong></strong></p><table> <tr> <td> <span> Deletions are marked with - . </span> </td> <td> <span> Additions are marked with +. </span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 67: </td> <td> Line 67: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td> <span>+ ------<br> + 2006-09-12 02:24:16 nbsp Long lines, harried servers, and weird fixings. I wanted a salad with some crispy leaves, bacon, sliced egg, ranch dressing and croutons of some kind. I got a look like I was from mars. I ended up with romaine that apparently came out of a microwave, some greasy soggy croutons that tasted like purple, and some vague viniagrette that might as well have been mineral oil and orange juice. It took forever to get, it took forever to pay for, everyone in the place (customers) was totally cell-phone enabled obnoxious. Terrible experience, and, unfortunately, an identical repeat to every experience I've had there. Terrible food, terrible environment. I can't fathom why anyone would go here when Fuzio is 50 feet away. --["ChrisLambertus"]</span> </td> </tr> </table> </div> Pluto'shttp://daviswiki.org/Pluto%27s2006-09-08 08:22:23ChristyMarsdenapparently I can't spell. <div id="content" class="wikipage content"> Differences for Pluto's<p><strong></strong></p><table> <tr> <td> <span> Deletions are marked with - . </span> </td> <td> <span> Additions are marked with +. </span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 66: </td> <td> Line 66: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <span>-</span> 2006-09-08 09:20:55 nbsp I love this place.
