In fall of 2005, right before the Rominger West debut, a warehouse in the Bay Area which had been temporarily storing their wine burnt down, destroying a great deal of the bottled wine. Rominger West persevered, debuting with less wine than planned by not giving up. One year later, after the winery moved into its current home in Davis, Charlie Rominger succumbed to cancer, leaving his brothers Bruce and Rick to represent Rominger Brother Farms in Rominger West. + + Today Rominger West Winery is growing in Yolo County, becoming more and more involved in the community, supporting local organizations and encouraging sustainable agriculture.
