2007-09-09 10:33:07   The Tallman..Well now that its come to my attention on somebody falling and getting hurt,I guess I'll have to keep a extra eye out and see if its you or some friend falling to try and sue the store.Hmmm I think i'll do that as I install new security cams to keep a third eye out just so we can play it back and see if the slip and fall is fake or for real..Also I dont know why you and some of your crones got it out for Miss Deroo, but as sure as I speak HER STORE SHE OWNS IS NOT OUT OF BUSINESS.!!! Its open !!! So i'd be very careful on your posts about stores that are not open, and cause people who depend on it for their living to lose business,it might just get you in some deep DOO-DOO there, and thus then you will have to come to Thrift store and shop..Have a Wonderful Day.(If you even know what Nice is..) —Bobble

2007-09-09 12:36:04   Tallman: French Cuff Consignment, my personal company, has absolutely nothing with the SPCA Thrift Store. Please do not post inaccurate information stating that the store is closed for business when in fact, it is not. Additionally, judging upon the success of our 2nd Saturday crowd last night, we will continue to stay in business for a long time to come. We are located in the charming Victorian on J Street in Midtown, Sacramento.

Again, I would very much love for you to come down to the thrift shop and visit with me. You might find that I am very receptive to new ideas and it appears to me that you have some strong opinions as to how the store layout should look. I would like to hear your thoughts in a manner that will bring about some positive solution to your apparent unhappiness. I have seen you stop by on a few occasions, but you have never approached me to discuss these issues, and I have not had the chance to catch you in time to introduce myself. (Apart from the one time you yelled at me in the back area, we have never met.)

At this point, I put the ball in your court, as it were. I have made the offer to hear you out, and would very much like to have the opportunity to introduce myself. We might find common ground in the fact that it appears that we both would like to see improvement in the service and cleanliness of the store. If we together can make improvements, I see only the animals we serve as the beneficiaries of this cooperation. Being a true animal lover, it is a subject very dear to my heart, as it is for you as well.

Should you choose to not accept my offer, I kindly ask that you end this constant personal attack against me. I feel very uncomfortable with the fact that you have taken time out of your busy schedule to research my business partner and my personal business and to spread mis-information to the general public. I believe that it goes above and beyond the scope of simply leaving a comment regarding the service/merchandise/etc. of the SPCA Thrift Store.

Thank you,
Corey —CoreyDeRoo

2007-09-09 13:09:40   For clarity - Tallman might have based his comment on the [WWW]history of the French Cuff wikipage. When the page was deleted by you, a wiki editor assumed it meant the business was closed. So as you see by the last edit, the editor added the "Departed Business" tag to the page. It was a wiki mishap, it happens occasionally. If that's the case, TheTallman was posting what he likely assumed was accurate information from the Wiki, and isn't really at fault for that. It probably wasn't malicious, and I doubt he'll get in "doodoo" over it. Since the store isn't closed, I'm removing the departed business include (the page looked [WWW]like this for quite a while). —EdWins

2007-09-09 13:17:33   Ed: Actually, it appears that he did put the comment in, but perhaps I am not reading this correctly? See version 211 and 212. The information was not accurate. The Sacramento MidtownGrid link that he put into place is correct, however, he mistated that the store was closed, when in fact it is not. This kind of incorrect information can indeed harm a business, and should not be allowed. —CoreyDeRoo

2007-09-09 13:22:19   Ed, I think we are now on the same page, thank you for the clarification. I still believe that my personal business should not be linked to the SPCA Thrift Store but I am equally proud of both. Merely establishing a relationship is sufficient, but if it is the general consensus of the Wiki-folks that it is necessary, then by all means, establish a link. However, I would request that we at the very least post the correct information? —CoreyDeRoo

I was obviously misinformed about The French Cuff and Corey DeRoo played a big part in the regrettable confusion. Personal comments directed at me should be left on my page, since they can't benefit anyone else. I would even allow the more hysterical postings to remain there for a decent amount of time. Ms DeRoo could follow, meanwhile, the example of the Sac SPCA store which is tidy and safe while relying on volunteer help - this was true also at their previous location. Finally, I don't want to speak to DeRoo, she has distorted and inaccurately reported an earlier interaction. It's really time to move on. TheTallman
