Is there a reason this page is called save-mart instead of Savemart or Save Mart?
Receipts from the store say SaveMart and the logo looks like Save Mart. On the company webpage, the copyright is held by "Savemart Supermarkets." What do people think about renaming this page to "Savemart" and redirecting Save-Mart? -JonathanLawton
Save Mart is the official name of the company. Save-Mart (with a dash) was a separate grocery chain that had stores in Stockton and Lodi. That company already had Save-Mart stores in Stockton and Lodi, so Save Mart opened up stores called S-Mart in Stockton and Lodi to avoid confusion. Save-Mart went out of business in the 90's, but Save Mart decided to keep the S-Mart name.
The Save Mart logo on the store says "Save Mart Supermarkets." The "S" in Save Mart is shared with "Supermarkets."
If we rename, it probably should be "Save Mart." Minus the dash. Or Save Mart Supermarket. - Jedron
