When I got back he offered me a bite because he said it was the best pizza ever. I did and it was! I had no idea you could get such a delicious pizza at Seasons. The food quality and preparation is excellent. And the service is always attentive without being overbearing. There is also a very nice wine and liquor selection. It was a rough transition between Chef Jeff and Chef Cullen, but things are back to their high standards, and may even be better than before (and seem to continue to improve). The menu was typical upmarket California cuisine, and although quite tasty, the price wasn't quite justified. I ordered a cheese flatbread (essentially a thin crust pizza without sauce, not what I expected. Decent.) and for the main course a mixed seafood bouillabase(ish) dish served with a portion of a crusty bagette. Very tasty, but certainly not even in the ballpark of orgasmically good, which is something I always hope for in a dish. My 'rents ordered a steak and a lamb "taco" and they seem to enjoy their meals. The service was indeed excellent and a fine perk of Seasons is that they allow you to bring your own wine for a 10 per bottle "corking fee". So in the long run, if you're into wine you can save money doing that unless you want to select a bottle from Season's extensive collection and pay up the wazoo. Overall, it was quite a treat, but certainly won't be a place I'll visit often. However, I finally checked it out last night w/ friends, and have to say that the service, presentation, and food quality were excellent! Prices were definitely high, but I think they were pretty well in line with the caliber of the dining experience. Starters/salads ran about $10 for "nouvelle size" portions, but the flavors/presentation/textures were so intense and well-crafted that you spent a good couple minutes savoring each bite. Entrees were in the $20 range, and the flavors were beautifully blended. I would have liked to see a couple lighter dessert options because I'd overeaten, but the desserts we ordered were all quite good. My husband was poisoned by the kitchenstaff during our last meal there! The service was impeccable, the waiter noted my husband's allergies (and spoke with the chefs about them)... but still, my husband was served something topped with breadcrumbs that included the kind of nuts that send him to the emergency room. To say we discriminate against "people of color" (whoever that antiquated term refers to) is just not true. That being said, I have racked my brain trying to imagine how anyone could have come to this erroneous conclusion. The only time I could see there being confusion is if a customer didn't realize we work with Open Table reservations. When we get walk-ins on a night we are heavily booked, we try our best to quote an accurate wait time based on how many tables are about to finish up their meal &amp; how many of those tables need to be held for the people who have reserved them in advance. If you were waiting &amp; saw customers who came in after you that were being seated ahead of you it is because we do honor their advance reservations. We do always keep in mind the time we quoted anyone who walks in, and do our very best to seat them by the time we have estimated. I would encourage anyone with a question about the seating to just come up to the hostess stand and ask me. If we ever go over a quoted time, I always try to inform the customer we are running behind, &amp; let the manager know the situation. As far as the claim that the "non-white" people were escorted to the crummy seats, first let me say I don't think we have a "crummy" seat in the place. It is all just a matter of personal preference. Some of our customers call ahead to request a booth, or a specific side of the restaurant. Some people prefer the bar side, others ask to be seated on the carpeted area. Again, I encourage anyone with a preference to just let us know. Very tasty, but certainly not even in the ballpark of orgasmically good, which is something I always hope for in a dish. The service was impeccable, the waiter noted my husband's allergies (and spoke with the chefs about them)... but still, my husband was served something topped with breadcrumbs that included the kind of nuts that send him to the emergency room. I did inform the restaurant (manager, Christi?) of the incident, but I never heard back from her. Prior to the poisoning, I loved this place - but it's going to be tough to get my husband back in there. --["ElHarvey"]</span> </td> </tr> </table> </div> Seasonshttp://daviswiki.org/Seasons2006-02-14 20:32:20MattJurachComment added. <div id="content" class="wikipage content"> Differences for Seasons<p><strong></strong></p><table> <tr> <td> <span> Deletions are marked with - . </span> </td> <td> <span> Additions are marked with +. </span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 42: </td> <td> Line 42: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td> <span>+ ------<br> + ''2006-02-14 21:32:20'' [[nbsp]] Went here for dinner on Valentine's Day.
