The managment here sucks. If you like the neighboorhood, I suggest Allegre Apartments, since they are much more organized and on top of things. Sharps tends to take their sweet ass time in fixing things, such as the garbage disposal with no blades:\ - JasminCamacho

I would like to add that I have never witnessed such a horrible parking situation and coming home past 9:30 pm usually means that you'll need to park in a red fire zone or at the Pacifico Student Cooperative Housing next door. Parking is regulated in no way and never guarantees you a spot unless you only have one car for your assigned parking. —KristenBirdsall

Note: As of January 2006, Pacifico co-op has assigned parking and visitor passes for the guest spots. Apartment dwellers should talk to Pacifico about renting a parking space or possibly be towed. —HoJoSparks

Some of the areas of the complex are very noisy, which the management tends to ignore, calling the complex "very quiet." The police are a regular visitor on the weekends, and the management is slow to respond to repairs. (two months for us) - KarlMogel

2005-03-20 12:52:21   This is the best place to live. Great new management, nice amenities, big floorplans, huge pool and 2 spas! —HannahHannah

2005-04-26 14:00:27   The parking situation is absolutely horrible, and the management is slow and unreliable. The place itself is pretty nice, but it's way too expensive for what you get. I would not live here again. —MargieHalloran

2005-10-03 19:49:18   Coinciding with the first day of UCD (Oct 29), there were annoying signs every 50 feet along the West Davis bike path, and elsewhere. They advertised their WiFi service. —SteveDavison

2005-10-04 01:27:20   I thought for ages this place was called Sharpton Flats, which to me actually sounds a bit better —BenWebber

2005-10-04 11:01:53   "the first day of UCD (Oct 29)" — can you teach me to see into the future, too? Also, like 3/4 of the people I talk to think it's Sharpton Flats. I'm scared that the windows have wire in them. —DomenicSantangelo

2006-01-12 12:09:18   1 covered parking per apartment, rest is FFA. —JimboJones

2006-01-20 13:53:34   overpriced and overrated. my boyfriend lives here and says it's a complete waste of money. he pays $400+ a month to share a room. —BlackHamster

2006-07-13 15:26:35   Like everyone else, I'd like to point out that the management is terrible and the apartments are way too expensive. We realized our mistake after signing up and when we asked what their policy was on changing our minds, they called us up days later to tell us that we were dropped without consulting us at all. We were shocked, because we had only started considering dropping and hadn't found another place yet, but we found somewhere for $400 cheaper a month. Now we've called and went in in person about a dozen times trying to get our security deposit back which htey promised to give us asap. We've been waiting for about 2 months and they always say they'll call us back (sometimes without asking for our number) or they tell us to go home and call them instead of tyring to talk to them in person. Absolutely unacceptably rude people. —AliceLiu

2007-02-03 20:52:18   we have mold in our bathroom and the manager said that someone was going to stop by right away. it's been a few days and i haven't seen anyone. this is our 3rd time telling them about it. the place they showed it was nice and that's how they lure you in. over the summer, everytime we had a question and called them, they acted like they were too busy and once even hung up while i was saying bye to them. wth! when my roommate moved in, her door was missing; our bathroom looked disgusting! everything was falling apart. 2400 for 4 rooms is overpriced. go over to oakshade or something. it's nice, spacious AND they have washers and dryers in the apartment. —MariaSmith

2007-03-26 11:47:39   I really disliked living here. Parking really is terrible. And the few times where a stranger parked in our designated spot, the management took our complaint and information, but never towed once. Over the summer, we had repeated problems of wasps somehow getting into our apartment (from the ventilation system). One afternoon, we had 3 wasps flying around our living room. I went to the office to complain. The lady there merely raised her eyebrow, told me nothing could be done at the moment, and arrogantly suggested that we just stay out of the wasps' ways unless we wanted to be stung. I'm quite sure she wouldn't have felt the same way if it was her office that they were flying around in. —StudentRuby

2007-08-08 23:35:26   Management here does not care at all, which can be okay but you are paying way too much to live in a total shithole. First off, the floor of one of the bathrooms collapsed. It took them like two months to replace the refridgerator that didn't work. It took them like 10 months, including all of the rainy months, to replace a rotting door, to the little room on our balcony, which couldn't close and when they finally did replace it the door didn't fit in the frame... which was never fixed. They never fixed our upstairs sink that had a constant flow of water. They never fixed our dishwasher which has had standing water in it for almost the entire year. They never fixed the countless towel racks and oven handles that just fell apart or fell off (That's right, our oven has no handle). For the last few weeks, all of our downstairs sinks, including the kitchen, have been out of commision, flooding with some sort of black, greasy sewage whenever water goes down the drain. Oh yeah, and this place isn't cheap either. Don't bother living here unless you never use the kitchen or bathroom anyway and money is no object to you. —SeanJohannessen

2007-10-03 23:21:13   really really loud!!! every night somebody screams outside or there is mariachi music playing. at midnight here people find it fun to scream. nice. especially when you're trying to sleep. —citygurl
