Again, Andrew Peake, Paul Harms, and Matt Shannon all use Joe Levy's IP address at different days and at diffrent times. What is most interesting is that Joe Levy made these edits on the Third Floor when there were many people on the Third Floor at the time. And who would have access to the SGAO Third Floor on December 22nd? --["SteveOstrowski"]
-
- * Dude, you are one crazy conspriacy nutjob. --["CarlaLewis"]
- * The question is, who is CarlaLewis, du du duhn. --["DavePoole" ] Posting from 127.0.0.1 EGADS
- Okay, Joe Levy made edits on December 9th on the Third Floor at 4:10pm. Paul Harms made edits on the Third Floor on the same day on the Third Floor with a different IP address at 3:58pm and 4:40pm. December 9th is a Saturday, which is odd because no one is on the Third Floor on a Saturday. It is thus highly reasonable to say that Paul Harms either knew someone else who was on the Third Floor on that day or is Joe Levy himself. Is there a way to look at all edits for the following dates: December 22, 11, 9, November 30th? --["SteveOstrowski"]
- Okay, firstly, these ip addresses are not by floor, they are by computer, I did not check any of the downstairs computers if they have the same ip subnet. (on a random note the ip system is not terribly reliable due to the existence of proxies, if you check ["AgTV"] brent laabs just made an edit from local host) , so no assuming that these computers were on the third floor. Secondly, because someone happen to be logged in that day, does not mean that they were in the same area, had any affiliation with, or knew who made these edits, this is more like a blood test, it shows who did not make the edit, or rather where it was not made from, I would like individuals to stop blaming this issue on people who I know for certian are not involved, nobody here is trying to to conduct dirty politics, rather just he probably thought it would be funny to post it using that handle. What is really messed up here is that nobody considered what is said, more who said it, this is a wiki, and just to note, I have heard such rumors regarding this very issue that for whatever reason Focus was considering reducing or outright cutting those budgets, but they have not done it, it was probably thrown out, many people do this sort of thing with comming up with bad ideas, the Theta Xi paintball issue, the Pledge of Alliegence issue, from what I have heard, various people from all sides have considered cutting some program or another, just in passing thought, I don't see what the problem with this is, as it is always good when people consider things from different angles, hell there are so many examples that people think about and spoke of that they had no intention to commit (many political promises for example), and in this case, Spencer seems to not have said with a firm affirmation that he would see these programs cut. I would like to speak of the issue, and not worry about who did it. To close, I am ["DavePoole" Joe Levy]. ~["DavePoole"]
-
- I will not be intimidated by your many words there, however I will say that I know for sure that you are not Joe Levy unless you can explain to me how you go onto the third floor during MU lockdown during Christmas Break. I feel that there is a major breach in ASUCD security for someone to have used Third Floor computers during Christmas Break when everything was locked up. I think Paul should answer these questions that I throw out. But we will be testing every computer on the Third Floor so as to make sure that everything is covered. I am taking this investigation seriously and then I intend to report my findings to the Senate. --["SteveOstrowski"]
-
- Actually on December 22nd the MU was not on lock down and was actually still open. I know because I opened the Hot Kitchen in the ["CoHo"] that morning at 7am. The third floor would have been open too along with the Student Services office. -["JimSchwab"]
- * Oh it was the twenty second, man, I lose track of dates too easy, hmm I love pho? it is awesome. I still did get in on the twenty third as I left my chem book in a room, and I needed to study chem.. I thought I posted then, thanks for the correction. ~ D
-
- You realize you are contradicting yourself now, if those people you accused were Joe Levy, they would have to have been in the Davis area during that time, however none of those people were and honestly nobody would take the drive up here from the bay area, or wherever they are from, in order to do such a thing. As to methods to gain access to the computers, well, I could use a VNC server to access them remotely, I could pick the lock (I know it is a six pin damn complicated lock, but then again what else am I to do for the holidays), or I could simply ask a janitor or grounds keeper to be let in because I forgot something important, easy enough, so do you still doubt that I posted as Joe Levy (why do you refuse to believe me). As for investigating and the senate, I don't think anyone cares, honestly, well aside Joe Levy who is probably annoyed at me for stealing his good name (I meant no offense honest I just thought it seemed like a semi plausible name that I heard being mentioned.), as for what I posted, I am relatively sure that it is true, well that I heard it was true n^th^ hand from another source, but as all rumors that is debatable. My main objective with the Ip addresses was to show that the SGAO and Senate offices were free from the scandal, I don't like the idea that you are insulting the good names of the people I have met in the ASUCD, especially those that wish to make a difference, you seem rather vindictive and opposed to people, it is a long running gag that you are a bit crazy, that you think too much of ASUCD, that it is more powerful, and more important than it really is, and honestly, you are acting like there is some conspiracy against you and those who you associate with, which is totally not possible, namely we are too busy doing things to help people, and pass our classes, have social lives, run clubs, we just don't have the time to organize something like this. You can go on blaming people for posting this data on the net, are you objecting to the data, the method which it was posted, or are you just trying to find something to bitch about, I dunno, nor do I care. I do care that you stop accusing Paul, Brent, Andrew, or any of the other nice and relatively helpful people in the ASUCD (they let me use the computers and store stuff in the senate office etc. a serious breach of policy I am sure nobody care), as they did not do this, they could not have done it, and if they did, they have not done anything wrong. I say honestly, once again declaring, I am Joe Levy. ~ D
-
- If you know so much and if you truly are Joe Levy give me the password to that account either publically on the Wiki or through private email. If you don't have the password or if you have some lame excuse that you forgot then I will know you are not Joe Levy. Second, I doubt your story because there is a LEAD intelligence unit on the Third Floor who I would believe would probably have done this instead of you. Third, you are way to eager to fall on the sword to help those on the Third Floor. Fourth you really lack the motive to commit this act unless someone was telling you to do it in the background. And again on December 9th on a Saturday you would have to have been connected to the Third Floor or on the Third Floor the same time as Paul Harms. When Police take confessions they must verify that these confessions are truly accurate. Just because you say you did it, doesn't mean you actually did it. --["SteveOstrowski"]
-
- Firstly, no, that is not something that would solve any problem, and only give you the ability to post as me posting as Joe Levy. Secondly, LEAD intelligence, you are acting like it is a conspiracy, as I see it, all sides in politics are working for the common good, well how they see the common good can be achieved anyway, though I may disagree with people, that does not mean that their ideas are not valid or good, the theta xi shootout for instance may have been a good thing if it were really for charity, and a fun event, honestly I would like to see that bill, as far as an intelligence 'unit' well it happens that there are senators from LEAD on the third floor, are you trying to say the Focus people are shirking their posts and not on the third floor. Third, I don't think I am falling on any sword by admitting the truth, I wouldn't sacrifice myself for such a silly cause, what is the cause anyway, what is the problem, there has been little to speak of regarding the issue which I spoke, but so much regarding how I spoke it, you should look at my words rather than my handle. Motive, Steve, you cannot prove a lack of motive, that is just a logical fallacy, you are making it seem that I am some sort of puppet or pawn. Joe Levy is the name of my fraternity brother and he has no experience with the wiki at all and is somewhat bothered by the fact that someone is using his name. The ip address always comes from the 3rd floor so someone who has no integrity within the association is making this post and it shows a complete lack of class or professionalism to say the least. Nothing that was said has any basis in truth at all and is therefore slanderous and should be deleted or else someone could make wild accusations about me or you or anyone else and we would have to let them stay here for everyone to see. Thats pretty ridiculous --["ChrisHerold"]
- * Honestly, if people are posting things that are untrue, they will just be shown false by contradictory evidence, the entire a single truth will unearth a mountain of lies deal. Whatever is said should be noted, to simply rectify opinions from existence does little to acknowledge the rumors. My two cents at least, and how is this related to article? ~["DavePoole"]
- * Senator Herold, you mentioned that the IP address comes from the Third Floor. Based upon your experience with that area, can you specify where on the third floor? For example, the Executive Office, SGAO, CalPirg, or the Legislative Office? Once we have a precise location we can get to work on narrowing down the suspects. ["JosephBleckman" Joseph Bleckman - P.I.]
- * He is not a Senator - (General sentiment of MaxMikalonis)
-
- --------
- I have been investigating online, there is no conclusive evidence that Joe Levy actually exists, I claim that he is nothing more than a puppet for some political agenda. ~Dave
-
- * Not pointing fingers, well maybe I am, but the Joe Levy IP address is coming from a computer that has been used by Paul Harms, Andrew Peake, and Matt Shannon. The IP addresses of Joe Levy match their edits but on different days at different times. So in other words the Joe Levy guy used the same IP address as Paul Harms, Andrew Peake, and Matt Shannon between December and January. Also Joe Levy made changes to the Wiki at around 4:10pm on the Third Floor on December 9th, the same time that Paul Harms made some edits and was present in SGAO. So Paul could have seen the Joe Levy guy in SGAO and not recognized him. I have checked every other Davis Wiki user that would probably have used SGAO computers and network. Maybe someone who knows more about computers could see a possible connection. --["SteveOstrowski"]
- Unfortunately, this is a horribly inaccurate conclusion. You are seeing the external ip addresses only, which would be the same for the entire floor, if not the entire building, local area of campus, etc, depending on how they have set up their network. This is merely an attempt to find someone to blame, get mad at, or generally antagonize someone in opposition, villinization? (it is late). So why? ~["DavePoole"]
- * There are multiple IP addresses for the Third Floor but these people accessed that specific one that both Joe Levy and those individuals also used. So I don't know if it is a specific computer within the Third Floor but one must wonder how someone was able to access the Third Floor on the 22nd of December. --["SteveOstrowski"]
- * Whether or not the conclusion is inaccurate, the location is probably true, as the 3rd floor of the MU. Why do I think this? ["IP Addresses"] shows us the IPs of the Coho using the wireless access, so this must be wired, and it isn't one of the traditional campus computer labs, because these people generally don't post from there when they do have the third floor. I'm not saying this as evidence that the alleged are Joe Levy, just that the IPs 169.237.101.xx are practically w/o a doubt on the 3rd floor of the MU. --["MaxMikalonis" One Tired Guy w/a 9am class]
- * Ah interesting, I am unfamiliar with the setup, but yes, it is in all likelyhood that the third floor is the source, if such a place exists. ~["DavePoole" forty hours and still going.
- ----
- Hey Steve, how are you doing in the computer lab.? As to methods to gain access to the computers, well, I could use a VNC server to access them remotely, I could pick the lock (I know it is a six pin damn complicated lock, but then again what else am I to do for the holidays), or I could simply ask a janitor or grounds keeper to be let in because I forgot something important, easy enough, so do you still doubt that I posted as Joe Levy (why do you refuse to believe me).
