The Student Recruitment and Retention Center (SRRC), or "The Center" is composed of six student-run organizations which recruit and retain historically underrepresented groups.
SRRC is a holistic organization which targets students before they enter college (with tutoring and mentoring), as they start college (with orientations), and as they go through college (with retreats, peer mentoring, study rooms during finals time, etc.). SRRC provides resources for graduate students, too.
SRRC is overseen by the Recruitment and Retention Organizing Committee. It was founded in 1999-2000 because of the passage of the FACE Initiative in 1998/1999.

SRRC offers funding to student organizations on campus through the Student Organizational Support (SOS) Grant, and helps oversee the Student Initiated Academic Prep (SIAP) Grant. Visit the SRRC office at 16 South Hall to find out about internship and volunteering opportunities!
SRRC has many couches and tables where students can relax, as well as several computers. There is also wireless internet access, free printing, and a fax machine.
At the end of every quarter, SRRC hosts Studypalooza, a sort of large and open study session for anyone interested. Studypalooza has tutors, workshops, quiet study places, snacks, and more.
