SuperShuttle is a shuttle service that drives people to the airport. They are based in Sacramento and they do door-to-door service. Their fare to Sacramento Airport is $23. Their web site has an entry to tip in advance with a somewhat steep default 18% tipping rate.

2009-01-28 18:53:52 I took SuperShuttle recently. They deserve credit for getting me there on time. In other respects, the service was incompetent. First, when I called the dispatcher to confirm the pickup, she gave me this long lecture about how I should have provided an "inner address" to get picked up from UC Davis. She treated me like I had been called to the principal's office; she even threatened to hang up or cancel the reservation. Eventually she calmed down enough to accept that I was a competent customer. In fact I just double-checked and it is not at all obvious to me how to provide an inner address for a school on the SuperShuttle web site.
Then the driver didn't know anything about driving in Davis. He drove from campus to Pole Line instead of going on 113. I told him that the freeway was faster, but he didn't understand my point. We did get there on time, in fact with plenty of time. The problem was that he was speeding on city streets and this made me uncomfortable. —GregKuperberg
