''2009-04-04 13:54:34'' [[nbsp]] Judge for yourself www.Superdog.com. These are the top dog trainers in the country. There are over forty dogs off leash just on the Home page of the website, all different breeds, sizes and ages. It is easy to say that you can train dogs, quite another thing to show dozens and dozens of pictures of END RESULTS WITH TRAINED DOGS. Superdog uses relationship-based obedience. That is where you see dogs just laying on the driveway, or at the beach off leash, and they do what the owner says without rewards or punishments, like telling your child to take out the trash. David Baron was trained by a behaviorist and is generally regarded to be the most successful dog trainer in North America--and he is in the Sacramento area. Superdog is now all over California and in a number of states as well. No one is more successful at training others to get the same results as you see on www.Superdog.com. The website has nine videos for prospective clients to watch and METHOD and CURRICULUM pages that explains in detail what happens and the approach.

All David Baron's trainers in the Sacramento region are past clients who have been through the program themselves. Watch this television report http://www.superdog.com/superdog_contact.htm and compare what you see on the www.Superdog.com to what other dog trainers offer. Superdog looks a million times better for many reasons. Superdog, Inc. is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau in Sacramento.

In regard to the Call Kurtis TV report, the "client" featured was sent to destroy our business by a competitor who was under a Permanent Injunction to not harass us and send others to do the same. That is obvious. A normal person would be shocked and apologetic if there dog bit anyone. The sick person let his dog viciously attack the trainer and lies like a rug. His written statements contradict what he says on TV. Superdog will make these written available to you, if you even care about what some loser who looks like a moron has to say.

Again, judge for yourself www.Superdog.com. Don't let jealous competitors scare you away from the best dog trainers in North America. --["Users/bonniegordon"]

Superdog Inc. Better Dog Training, also known as Dave the Dog Trainer, will come to your home — yes, they will come to Davis — and help to teach you and your family how to work with your dog to resolve behavioral problems such as those associated with aggression. They don't use treats, clickers, or special collars. They say that they can teach basic dog obedience in 2 or 3 lessons and have your dog off-leash trained in 4 or 5 lessons. They aren't cheap, and you have to call to get a price quote.

2007-10-24 22:02:41   I would be very careful about this trainer. He was featured on "Call Curtis" on Channel 13 (Sacramento) for losing a client's dog and not telling them until they came back from vacation. —ThumpersMom

2008-09-07 02:24:45   We hired David Baron and his Superdog trainers in Sacramento and were blown away by how good they were. We found them through a veterinarian-behaviorist at UC Davis who said they were probably the best dog trainers in the country when it came to working with aggressive, fearful and problem dogs. Our dogs went from barking and nervous all the time, to calm and pleasant to hang out with and take places. We only ended up doing three lessons and never got around to calling for another because the dogs do everything and listen. If you want a guarantee, hire the best dog trainer the first time DAVID BARON.

Kutis Ming on CBS did a story called "Dog Training Nightmare" on Kevin Salim/Salem of Real Life Dog Training in Sacramento for no kennel license and losing a dog. David Baron has a million dollar facility on almost 13 acres but only takes in rescue dogs and doesn't do board and train or kenneling. Dave's ranch is to die for. He has almost 600 rose bushes. Take a look at his www.Dog-Training-Sacramento.com, www.superdog.com also. Dave throws these big parties for all the clients with 100 dogs on Down-Stay and walking as a pack. I could go on and on. Best party, including ones after weddings, I have ever been to. The dogs had a blast and we did too. Thanks Dave! —bonniegordon

2008-11-20 15:35:08   This story was on Sacramento CBS station Channel 13 on 11-19-08: [WWW]http://cbs13.com/consumer/Call.Kurtis.Dog.2.868972.html

I am one of the UC Davis Veterinary Behaviorists and we have never recommended him, nor will we, so the comment above was incorrect. The owners that have come to see us that have used him have reported that he uses primarily punishment-based techniques in training their dogs (choke collars, shock collars). We do not recommend the use of these tools for dogs with behavior problems. mjbain

2008-11-20 18:39:50   I used Dave the Dog Trainer, and although I never met Dave himself (like bonniegordon above, we never finished the training because our dog had learned everything he needed to know), I can tell you that they didn't use shock collars or choke collars. They did recommend a prong collar, advice that we considered and freely ignored. The method mainly involves positive reinforcement in the form of praise ("good dog" + pets and scratches) and letting your dog know that you are "dominant" over him/her — you walk out the door first, you come in the door first, you eat first, you are higher than the dog, etc. There was a little negative reinforcement in the form of leash checks while learning to heel, and gently forcing the dog into a down position the first time or two to show them what it is, but that was it. Some may not like this method, or find that it doesn't work for their dogs, but it was extremely effective for our dog. It was a lifesaver, because at that point in time there was no way that our dog could have gone into a class with other dogs. —CovertProfessor
