| * Why not just take what you wrote here, verbatim, and add it to the entry? Then people can edit it, rather than just talk about it in theory as we are right now. And if you add it, there's no need for a Talk page, as everybody can then contribute by action rather than perpetual discussion. Incidentally, I just made the same kind of edit to Central Park [http://daviswiki.org/Central_Park?action=diff&version2=85&version1=84 right here], but since it's in the entry itself, people can dig in and improve it immediately rather than just talking back and forth about theoretical editing. -jw |
This is an issue:
Use of cell phones —Users/BruceHansen Art

I, for one, don't care if somebody edits the content while on a cell phone. -jw

This is regarding this article: what the cab industry in Davis does with its cell phones which are the dominant current means of dispatch. The link is an alarm for the cabs in this matter. (Hope I'm being clear here.) —Art

You are not being clear. I see nothing in this article that is about the content of the page Taxi Services. Please point out the part of the article that is about the content of the page Taxi Services. —WilliamLewis

William (and I) were being a little silly. Well, I was; I can't speak for William. This would be about Taxi Services, yes? Then it's not about the Taxi Services entry, correct? And the Talk pages are generally used for discussing the content of the entry, not the topic of the entry, got it? Actual discussion about Taxi Services themselves would normally be... well.. on the page about Taxi Services. Honestly, it doesn't bug me much (although it does drive some people crazy), but it is kind of a bad practice, if only because it hides away information useful for somebody looking for information about the topic. -jw

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't have time to write something appropriate for the article, perhaps with this link. I thought that at sometime it would be good for someone to "address it" in the article - "the page." -Art
