The Dead Arts Society is a student organization devoted to theatre. They started in winter quarter 2010 as a side project of Studio 301 (it was then known as The Dead Playwright's Society). The group spent the first 5 weeks of the quarter writing and workshopping original student written plays and the next 5 weeks casting and directing them, concluding in a showcase of new works.

In spring quarter they branched into their own club under a new name and grew to include original music compositions and dance choreography as well. They still function under the same format (five weeks writing and workshopping scenes and songs, five weeks casting, directing, and choreographing the new works), but have also expanded to include performing original full-length plays. It is always open to new members regardless of previous experience. Any questions or inquiries can be sent to the above email address.
