Originally, Greenwald launched the blog as a means of reporting and commenting the activities of the Davis Police Department, or DPD. I have zero sympathy for any of the students mentioned, simply for the fact that all you have to do is sign up for the citizens police academy, happens twice a year, and DPD tells you how the work on a day to day basis.
