Playing at the Co-op for Big Tomato Day
The West Nile Ramblers (WNR) are five talented Yolo County musicians who just can’t make up their minds. Combining their extensive experience in multiple styles of music, they decided to err on the side of variety and assembled a repertoire of exciting, intricate originals and covers. Andy Lentz and Alex Roth from the Mad Cow String Band join forces with guitarist Adam Hancock and bassist Mark Eagleton of the Bottom Dwellers, along with drummer Bart van der Zeeuw, who has performed with the Bottom Dwellers, Family, and Belgian rock band K's Choice. With a combination of country, western swing, bluegrass, jazz, and original tunes, the West Nile Ramblers guarantee an eclectic and energetic musical experience.
Brought together by a desire to play music as often as possible, The West Nile Ramblers brings years of experience and a depth of understanding to a smörgåsbord of music styles. Don't be surprised if you hear Jazz, Cajun, and Bluegrass tunes at a WNR show near you. Their fairly simple arrangements are made special by their very tight musicianship. Also, they have been known to bicycle to their gigs with all their gear. Gotta give them some credit for that.
