The flock contains at least 30 birds, and they are generally in the field and the yards of the houses across the street just before 8am and around 3pm. They walk around on the roofs and cars of the people who live there, and I imagine if they are as messy as geese then I wouldn't be happy if I lived there. There are actually organizations encouraging the use of hedgerows in Yolo County ( http://www.yolorcd.org/hedgerows/design/hedgerow.shtml ), but in my observation, it is extremely uncommon in practice. Also I think the general tone of the page was "oh, how quaint" which I think is dumb because I have been to alot of really cool places in Yolo County that aren't at all quaint. Quaint is sort of static and ["yuppies" yuppieish], and has no depth, and I think Yolo County should be thought of and experienced in a more dynamic way. Also, I deleted the thing about "guest of honor" because I think it too added to the flippant tone of this page. I would really prefer for the page to simply say that wild turkeys can be found and for how, where, and why to be left mysterious (more wild that way). -["NickSchmalenberger"]

There are actually organizations encouraging the use of hedgerows in Yolo County ( http://www.yolorcd.org/hedgerows/design/hedgerow.shtml ), but in my observation, it is extremely uncommon in practice. Also I think the general tone of the page was "oh, how quaint" which I think is dumb because I have been to alot of really cool places in Yolo County that aren't at all quaint. Quaint is sort of static and ["yuppies" yuppieish], and has no depth, and I think Yolo County should be thought of and experienced in a more dynamic way. Also, I deleted the thing about "guest of honor" because I think it too added to the flippant tone of this page. I would really prefer for the page to simply say that wild turkeys can be found and for how, where, and why to be left mysterious (more wild that way). -["NickSchmalenberger"]
