Organized in 1913, the University Farm Circle (UFC) is a philanthropic organization that has been affiliated with UCD since 1913 and has a current membership of 435 campus and community members. We welcome newcomers, assist students with scholarships, and provide programs and activities for our members. They are open to anyone interested in participating in an organization that is both social in nature and supportive of UC Davis.

They aim "to promote and maintain the traditional friendly spirit associated with the University of California, Davis." The organization originally consisted of wives of faculty who worked together to alleviate some of the isolation and boredom of living on what was then the agricultural division of UC Berkeley — the University Farm. To this day, the UFC still organizes events such as a Fall Tea, a Candlelight Dinner, and an Annual Luncheon.

Their website ([WWW]http://www.universityfarmcircle.org) lists some of their current goals as:

  1. Welcome newcomers to the University campus and community.

  2. Assist students through scholarships and loans.

  3. Provide programs and activities to meet the needs and interests of [UFC's] members.
