2008-01-31 13:53:31   So are you named after [wikipedia]Dagon or [wikipedia]Dagon (short story)? That's pretty cool if you are. —NickSchmalenberger

2008-02-01 09:37:23   My full name is Dagon Hurricane Casey Jones, I was named after Dagon the god of the Philistines. Dagon was a god of fish and grain, he appeared as a half fish half man (much like a mermaid). My parents were older hippies and my mom thought a fish god was appropriate because my zodiac sign is pisces. My middle name Casey, is from my father's nickname "Casey Jones" and Hurricane was chosen by my dad because it sounded cool (I think, he wont give me a straight answer). Many people recognize Dagon from the H.P. Lovecraft short story and the Cthulhu mythos. I think Lovecraft chose to write about Dagon because he was a long forgotten god once worshiped by cultures considered evil by early christians. —DagonJones

2008-02-01 13:29:11   When I was in dental school at UCSF, there was a graffiti tagger who was using my name (probably still is). I would see my name all over San Francisco. —DagonJones

2008-02-01 18:27:33   You have a very cool name. Rock on! Thanks for the little blurb about how you were named. Very interesting. My parents got a little creative with me too, but in my case I was fortunate because they hid it in the middle and chose a nice two syllable anglo-saxon first name. My middle name is just funky and uncool. —CurlyGirl26

2008-04-24 15:28:18   That dental questions page is a very cool idea! —WilliamLewis

2008-04-25 16:01:59   Again, thanks for the input about dental implants. Thanks to you I have decided to go ahead and get an implant, I'm sure Dr. Shirazi can still do it for me (he said the space I have there should suffice). I think a dental implant would be a better use of my money because it is more durable. And thanks for the band recommendation, I will pass it on. We actually saw Front 242 in Germany last year because they played at the Gothik Treffen festival. And yes, Babyland is way cool (I saw them in SF some years ago). I'm not too familiar with Ministry. —CalamityJanie

2008-04-27 10:39:45   hay, thanks for adding some info to dental fraud!

Are you enjoying your tenure as a Davisite? —StevenDaubert

Oh snap you kiteboard as well! <3

2008-04-28 08:09:19   I use the kites mostly on the buggy. The landboards I find a little scary, besides you can go way faster in a buggy :) —DagonJones

2008-05-28 08:47:04   Lamar mentioned your conundrum to me the other day. (He also said he was going to write a positive review of your work for the wiki). I guess we do have a few similarities. Since we're moderately doppelgangers, lets hope that no one busts my teeth on the street because you busted theirs in the office, or likewise, no one smashes your face in reaction to my political race. Of course, this is one of the friendliest towns in America so I doubt it would happen, but you never know.... —RobRoy

2008-06-23 10:45:46   Re: Jason and I being the same person: It was an April Fool's Day prank that gets referenced now and then as a bit of tongue in cheek humor. We are, in fact, distinct individuals. We were both early wiki editors and we both follow the list of changes, so you can find cooperative and overlapping edits throughout the wiki. That and the fact that we both had beards (I still have mine, I know Jason shaved his off for awhile) and that Jason doesn't have a clear photo on his entry (although you can find photos of him elsewhere on the wiki) made us able to pull off the April Fool's Day joke. —Evan 'JabberWokky' Edwards

2008-11-10 12:00:53   I'm going to make you a wiki badge award for your dentistry questions page, it's turning into an awesome resource! —StevenDaubert

2008-11-10 12:05:02   Dagon, ever hear of people sanding teeth after chipping them to have them match up more or less... Two people I know have apparently done this.. I warned them that if they had sanded enough they would get towards nerves and have potentially life long sensitivity (but I was just humming a few bars and faking it) —StevenDaubert

2008-11-18 12:49:29   A wiki award is something (an image of an award_ added on a users page in honor of edits, or page counts, or in joke cases reverts! I think that what you are doing here is a wonderful resource that can be tapped! I have 2 friends who have actually sanded teeth down, I told them they were jokes. Another friend of mine is actually considering doing that right now, he chipped either # 1 / 2 and is cutting his tongue to ribbons... Thankfully he actually has ychip, so he is waiting for mobile dentists on Wed... —StevenDaubert

2008-11-19 22:06:17   yeah they come to the ychip locations on a certain date I think, the rotate ychip spots.. I will find more info! —StevenDaubert

2008-11-25 11:08:41   yeah they have a mobile dentist unit that mabs around yolo county, hitting different towns on different days. My buddy got his sharp tooth point slightly filled down so he isn't constantly shredding his tongue. Now he just has to get it filled =D —StevenDaubert
