Joanna is a 2007 Davis High School grad who graduated May 2010 from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington (home of the sweet onion and some great Pinot Noir) with a degree in Studio Art— aka Finger Painting—which has facilitated her plans to live in a box decorated with Rococo flair.
She spent 2010-2011 in Beijing, teaching English for eight months and subsequently quitting to travel and write independently.
She enjoys a multitude of activities which include cooking, painting, running, reading, dancing, playing the piano, gardening, and pondering.
Qualitative dislikes include but aren't limited to:
desiccated whiteboard markers
bumpy car rides with an open laptop
a stone at the bottom of chow mien
people who think they're infallible
when people don't make room for you in the backseat
chipping or otherwise banging teeth against a mug
She was a member of DHS Madrigals from 2004-2007, an employee of Osteria Fasulo (best freakin' lasagna/wine list in town!!) and a breadrunner for Upper Crust Bakery. Currently living with her mum, Joanna spends her time painting, recycling stuff, downloading old kung fu films, and updating her tumblr.
