Michelle Koehler is a long time Davis resident. She has resided here since the age of 6 and has stayed in the Sacramento/Davis area for her entire life. She graduated from Davis Senior High School in 2004 and went to the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) and achieved a B.S in Sociology. Why Sociology? She doesn't quite know. It was interesting perhaps. Now she enjoys sitting back and toying with social interactions. In short, sociology is largely to blame for her sometimes annoying behavior. It's all in good jest however. But she is often quoted as saying, "sociology ruined me," in reference to her constant framing of events. As you can tell, Michelle is quite a nerd.

Michelle enjoys Davis immensely as an adult. The post-graduation world is far more interesting than the college world. Davis provides a rich atmosphere in which to challenge common preconceived notions and social norms. She finds that many of the residents are eager to participate in discussion of ideas and add previously unexplored perspectives. The community atmosphere in Davis is something Michelle finds unique to Davis and she enjoys thoroughly.

Her purpose for helping with the Wiki is to clarify and clear up misinformation, especially when issues fall into the legal realm/police relations. She welcomes questions and discussions of all sorts.

In her downtime, Michelle enjoys cycling, swimming and all other outdoor shenanigans. Reading is a constant pleasure, although she admits to not having the drive to read a full book yet, as she read many, many books in college, and well, is just plain tired of reading at the moment. Articles seem to be more appropriate.

Currently, she lives in Davis and works for UC Davis in the field of outreach & administration.
