I think Rob Roy had a great stance on the issues and ran a very clean campaign (in terms of money). In fact, originally, after reading information on all the candidates, he was my second or third choice (behind Greenwald, and tied with Cecilia) and hence I was going to vote for him. However, after listening to him in the debates I changed my mind. I felt he came unprepared and fumbled around and didn't really state any of his ideas clearly. Before I never even considered his lack of experience (I even voted for him the previous year), but after the debates I saw his lack of experience as a major minus; I was no longer confident in how he would handle being a council member. (I have talked to several people after the election and asked them who they voted for and why, and kept hearing similar statements to mine about the debates). I really hope he serves on a commission or two before his next run. I think he would make a great council member with some more experience. I DONT think that if he serves on commissions he will become a politics as usual candidate. In gaining experience he will be able to fight for his good causes more effectively. I wish Roy the best, and hope he wins some time in the future. --["Users/MattHh"]
- ------
- ''2009-03-21 13:44:15'' [[nbsp]] I like your poem about the UCD Quad.
